Who is the Enkii Greenland Association?

The Enkii Greenland Association is a community of 15 people located in a remote area of Tsavo National Park in southern Kenya. Our current work focuses on:

Sponsoring students to attend secondary school
Rescuing girls from early marriages
Preventing female genital mutilation
Producing books that educate others on the reality of life in Maasailand
Assisting the local church community

Why do we need a computer?

Our work is expanding, and we have no way to keep track of permanent records, nor can we assist secondary and college students with improving digitial literacy. Students who don't know how to use a computer are at a disadvantage when they try to enter the very difficult job market in Kenya. A computer would help us:

Track progress of our reforestation efforts
Organize information about our students
Create and monitor our budget
Train students in digital literacy
Write official documents so we can report to the government and apply for grants
Raise some funds for our organization by serving as a digital hub in the area
