Hello everyone,
My name is Brooke Sharkey. I have been singing ever since I can remember and always had the desire to write songs and melodies. I started busking when i was 17 and playing pub gigs around norfolk and I have carried on doing so ever since and I love it.

I have recorded a few cds and last year released my debut Album, which was funded by the public on this very site 2 years ago. The Album ' One dress' was a great pleasure to make, a magical collaboration with some of my favourite musicians. It was launched at St Pancras old church in London last December and was a very memorable and beautiful occasion.

Since last December, we have toured all around the UK and France, and played at festivals in Italy. After the Launch Bassist Adam Beattie, Drummer Barny c rockford and myself continued our collaboration with addition of Guitarist Leander Lyons.

We have been working on some new songs and started recording them in Reservoir studios, London.
It's been going really well and we'd like to carry on recording over the winter so that this EP can be available in time for our UK tour in May 2014.
By supporting this campaign, it will enable us to :
-Continue to properly record, mix and master these 5 new songs
4 days x £200=£800
5 songs x £50 mastering=£250
-Make, Design and print 1000 copies of the new EP to sell at gigs and busking (£1000). This will in turn support myself and the band financially throughout the year.
- Do a small pr campaign to let people/ press/ followers know about the new release (£300)
TOTAL £2350
We could come play in your living room or favorite local venue as part of our May Uk tour. Not only would enjoy it but it could help us enormously towards funding this project.
My favorite painter Chloe Vallance (who painted to cover for 'One dress') is donating 5 uniquely hand painted EP covers to help towards the campaign. Chloe and myself met when she was hanging out and painting all the buskers at Columbia road market in London. She is a lovely person, talented and giving. I love singing a writing and traveling to play gigs, if i can carry on doing this then I would be very very happy.
