UPDATE: Donate today for a chance to win a LARGE "Taralicious" canvas print signed by Tara Strong.
For the home stretch of our crowdfunding campaign we will randomly choose two people to receive a canvas print of Tara Strong's OC signed by Tara herself. Every $10 donation you send to us gets you a spot in our drawing for these awesome prints.
As an added bonus the lucky winners will also receive a custom plushie from Tellab Art, a signed art print from Dori-to, a whole bunch of MLP blind bags and some more pony related awesomeness!
Every $10 donation that you make will get you one drawing in our raffle. So if you donate $20 that will bring your count up to two drawings, $30 for three and so on.
Good luck!!!
F*** Cancer
Seriously...
Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide. According to the World Health Organization, in 2008, cancer accounted for 7.6 million fatalities (around 13% of all deaths). In Orange, California, 8 year old Kiki Havivy is fighting a nearly impossible battle to not be included in that statistic.
Thankfully, she is not fighting alone.
A group of almost 40 perfect strangers have come together in a random act of kindness to save this little girl. Since October 2012, this group has been hard at work producing an album to benefit Kiki and others like her. With your help, we can make this happen and possibly save some lives in the process.
What We Need & What You Get
Producing an album, even for charity, can quickly run up a hefty tab. Although we have done everything we can to minimize the overhead of the album, there are still a few unavoidable debts that we have to cover. Such as: the cost for CDs and Vinyls ($6,500), art prints and shipping ($200), legal fees ($75/hr) and many other costs.
If you decide to donate to our project, we will make sure that your investment will be worthwhile. In addition to gaining some really good karma, you'll receive some pretty awesome stuff with each donation. We have some great things to give away as a "thank you" for making this project possible.
Before you decide to donate to our cause, we encourage you to donate something to the family that we are doing this to benefit. We would like to see Kiki get the help she needs sooner rather than later. So please, if you are conflicted between donating to us or donating to Kiki's Recovery Fund, we implore you to go here and donate to the original recovery effort instead.
Reaching our goal
If we don't reach our goal in time, the money raised will be split evenly. 50% will go to the Havivy family for Kiki and 50% will go to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
If we do reach our goal in time, then we will be able to press and ship our initial order of 1,000 CDs and 500 vinyl LPs. If every physical unit is sold, then we will be able to raise over $30,000 for Kiki and other cancer patients worldwide!
If we exceed our goal before time is up, half of every $100 donation (or 50% of every $100) we receive will be split between: CURE Childhood Cancer, Inc. and Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
The Impact
Our campaign is based on a very simple model: make music > raise money > cure cancer. Your donation can turn this model into something very real. Let's work together and help many children who need it the most.
Help make our campaign a success and you will be making a massive difference in the lives of many children afflicted with cancer.
Other Ways You Can Help
Times are tough, we totally get it! However, you don't just have to donate to help, because there is another big way that you can help our cause.
Making a whole lot of noise about this project can be one of the best ways to help us get funded. So, tell your friends, family, coworkers, teachers, random people on the streets, tell anyone and everyone what we are doing. This will help us, Kiki, and so many more that need it.
Thank you so very much.
