Short Summary
Rafm's Call of Cthulhu Indiegogo is a project to replace the models in the line and get you the game models you want now!
The RAFM Call of Cthulhu Miniatures line is award winning and iconic within the gaming industry. The line has existed since 1985 and still makes up an important part of our company sales. It is clear that rabid Call of Cthulhu fans want these miniatures to support their gaming. And why not? They're awesome miniatures at a terrific price! Why wouldn't you like them?
However, we need to reconceive this line to appeal to a new era of gamers. As it turns out, miniatures are also really expensive to produce. The sculpting and mold costs are enormous. In order to reimagine this line, we can take our time by producing several new models over the next several years, or we can get support from the fans of Cthulhu mania and launch a bunch of new ones as soon as possible.
By the end of the year, we could possibly replace 8 figures in the Call of Cthulhu line. With this fundraising project we can remanufacture the entire line in one year's time: new character models, and new monsters, all at once.

Indiegogo and Flexible Funding
Indiegogo was chosen as the funding vehicle for this project because we are a Canadian company and we do not currently qualify for funding on Kickstarter. You must be a citizen of the USA in order to qualify for that site. This is well documented on the internet. See our updates on our RAFM.com forums if you have a question about this.Some people have posted that we should use a proxy. This is both dangerous and has possible deep tax implications. We discussed this option and decided that we were a corporation in Canada and we would use the Indiegogo site.
Flexible funding was chosen to allow Paypal transactions as well as credit cards. This means that the funds you s
upport us with by using either your paypal account or your credit card will be withdrawn immediately from your account. It also means that we must supply you with the product whether we meet our minimum funded goal of $8000 or not. Therefore, anyone supporting this project will recieve the initial miniatures release proposed and then any stretch goals that are met depending upon their funding choice.The choice to use flexible funding has allowed us to get to work right away on these miniatures and add new sculptures and new artwork to the project in a timely manner, so thankyou to all that have already funded us.

What We Need & What You Get
We realize that for a role playing game set in this genre you need models of characters and monsters that your players can interact with that won't cause those characters to go instantly insane or get immediately stomped. At this point five new investigator models and three new monsters will be completed regardless of whether or not our initial funding goal is met. Therefore, we have a number of opportunities available for our supporters.
You can support our Player Character Miniatures and receive a number of new character miniatures based on the number of people who jump on board.
Or
You can support our Monsters Miniatures and receive a number of new monster miniatures based on the number of people who want to get new monsters for their collection.
OR
You can go all in for both deals, cost $100 and get new player characters and new monster miniatures based on the number of people that support us.
And the good news is that as the number of supporters rise, you will get more miniatures!

The Impact
At the $9,000 USD mark new miniatures will be added to the program and continue being added as the campaign continues. By the $100,000 or approximately 1000 investors it is our plan to have 63 new models on their way to you for your initial investment of $100 USD. By the time we hit 2,000 investors most of the line should be remodeled. You can also select our add-on choices like the Cthulhu box set, Byatis and Dhole box set and the Miskatonic University Expedition sets which we will add throughout the program.
All miniatures are white metal and come unpainted. The scale is 32mm which is the industry accepted gaming standard. Some assembly may be required. Of course there will be variation from miniature to miniature depending on posing and sculpter. Also the monsters will be larger in size standing up to 100mm in some cases. These are high quality, hand sculpted metal miniatures worthy of any tabletop.

Who we Are
This great project actually started decades ago and there is a talented team driven by a shared dream behind it. Our story begins over 37 years ago, when RAFM Company Inc, began producing rules and then miniatures for the gaming industry in 1979. RAFM Call of Cthulhu miniatures has probably been our most successful line. Envisioned and sculpted by Bob Murch for the Call of Cthulhu RPG by Chaosium Inc. the figures have transcended the industry and been reissued by many companies. None compare with the lasting tradition of the line.
This company, reborn in 1999 as Silver Fox Productions Inc., producing RAFM Miniatures, has a proven track record. Our miniatures have sold to thousands of people worldwide, and have received many awards from the game industry. Other award winning lines include Siege Equipement, and WWII Vehicles. Our new lines include USX Modern Day Heroes, and the upcoming Airship Pirates Miniatures. The company has existed for several decades and will be around to support your gaming needs for years to come. All miniatures are produced for Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu Role-playing Game and continue to be an official licensed product for the Call of Cthulhu Role-playing Game TM.
Why is Shipping and Handling Internationally so High?
Eighty five white metal miniatures are very heavy for shipping purposes. They will mass about 2 Kilograms, we've checked international shipping and it costs over $25 to $30 to ship to Europe and abroad, not adding for shipping materials. This is hard to do. We are doing everything we can to get these products to Call of CthulhuTM players from around the world. We are grateful for your understanding.
For our European backers! After consulting with several logistics companies, we are happy to announce that we will be able to help you save money on import taxes. Because pledges are explicitly for the "funding of a project in a pre-retail environment," we can ship our products to you with a declared commercial value equal to the core manufacturing cost, rather than your full pledge amount. This should save a lot on any VAT taxes which may apply.
