Short Summary
My name is David Winter, I operate a small company in Canada called Canuck Model Products (www.canuckmodels.com). Canuck Models' focus is just that, Canadian subjects specifically targeting the Canadian modeller and hobbyist.
I currently offer a range of smaller items. Resin conversion parts, decal sheets, and other small products for converting Plastic Scale Models into Canadian versions of the particular subject.
My next goal is to provide high quality kits and accessories that are truely Canadian. High quality kits of the CP-107 Argus, the CF-100 Canuck, the Tutor, as flown by the Snowbirds, and of course, a high quality kit of the Avro CF-105 Arrow.
The design and manufacture of these kits is extremely expensive. Tooling alone for one kit can be in the $40,000 price range.
What We Need & What You Get
Your funding will go directly to the cost of creating these kits. From design to manufacturing. Depending on the size of the donation, the contributor will get their name in the packaging as a 'special thank you' as well they'll receive a free kit of each subject produced.
The Impact
The hobby of model kit building dates as far back as the 1920s. The vast majority of subject matter is American, with lots of German, Japanese and French subjects in the mix. But very little in the way of pure Canadian content.
By funding this project you will be helping to raise awareness of Canadian achievements in Aviation and Naval technologies to hobbyists all over the world.
