LeanDog and many advocates across our city believe in a vision for an aerial cable car system called Cleveland SkyLift, which will connect Clevelanders to their waterfront while providing a cutting-edge digital experience that will change the way people enjoy our city. Riders will be able to soar at a thrilling 150 feet above the shore, exploring everything from our parks to Browns stadium with complete ease.
What we need the money for...
Since April, we've been hard at work with some of the best cable car manufacturers in the world. Before we can build SkyLift, we need to complete a six month feasibility study which includes: engineering, market analysis and design. This requires raising money to hire a team of experts to conduct research.
This team includes cable car experts from Switzerland, Austria and British Columbia, and Colorado. Cleveland team members will be hired to provide the construction, management, financial, legal, marketing, design and technology skills.
During the six months they will do a feasibility study with approximately 30 different areas of consideration and produce a summary of their findings.
Based on this study, we can then make determinations on everything from building architecture, capacity, fares, system configuration, and budgets in order to then seek the funding capital.
We also plan to rent a vehicle to tow our demo cable car around town. We will install our flight simulator in the car and tour Cleveland to demonstrate our idea. We will sell additional merchandise to raise additional capital.
Our total need is approximately $700,000 to complete this phase.

Hopefully we can make Cleveland SkyLift a reality.
