Suicide is the leading killer of men under 45 in the United Kingdom.
The story has been inspired by true events, one being a young man who took his own life. He was only 23. This inspired me to write a story that would encourage men to ask for help. To know it's okay to ask for help. To change the way men think about asking for help.
CONNECT communicates that suicide is preventable.
We hope the story will encourage men to talk about their problems. We need to help break the stigma.

I've been working in Film and TV as an Assistant Director for several years. (Credits include: The Railwayman, The Angels' Share, The Legend of Barney Thomson, Under the Skin, Sunshine on Leith, Lovesick, The Replacement and Benidorm). It has been fun being an Assistant Director but now I am ready to Direct my first feature. I love film and hope to make film that moves and inspires people.
I'm so thankful to the friends in the industry I've met along the way who have given me guidance on this project. The support so far has been amazing and I hope it continues. The screenwriting process is done...now I'm putting on my producer's hat and scheduling the ambitious two week shoot. Bring it on!

The shoot will take place in stunning North Berwick - locations include a few local businesses, the beach, an elderly day care centre and the law. We already have the locations secured and are so grateful to the business owners who are supporting this project. We have been overwhelmed by the support from the local people and can't thank them enough for their help so far. Truly amazing community spirit.

We want our film to be the best it can possibly be by using the best local cast and crew available. That's why we need you: by contributing to our film not only will you be involved in this exciting project but you will also influence the quality of the final product and add to the landscape of the Scottish film industry.
Whatever you can offer is just great, we appreciate it. Not only are we raising money, we're also building a community behind the film -- your participation is meaningful.

Making movies is not cheap and there are many elements that we require:
- Equipment - There is no getting away from it, if you want to make a movie you need a camera!
- Key Personnel - There is expertise required to use the equipment and we want the best.
- Cast - We need them to bring the story to life and do the subject matter justice.
- Catering - Shooting days are long and its important to look after the crew.
- Legal - There are many hidden costs like this and it all adds up, but we want our film to make it to the big screen so we have to make sure we do it right.

The dates are a guideline and may change due to a number of factors but we will constantly up date you to keep you in the loop.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
