CordArmor
What is it that I am supporting again?
CordArmor is a Patent Pending accessory primarily designed to improve durability of the Apple Lightning charging cable and improve its low-light usability. Replacing these cables can be quite costly, at $30 a piece they can really add up. CordArmor's built in LED puts an end to those nightly struggles with your iDevice's tiny charge port. If you own an iPhone, iPad, or iPod that uses the lightning cable, then CordArmor is a must have. For a fraction of the cost to replace the cable you can eliminate the need to eventually purchase a replacement.
How does it function?
CordArmor is made of an ultra-durable Polypropylene plastic and a unibody design to provide a long lasting and easy to use product. The greater surface area and traction embossment are intended to allow you to remove your charger from its port with ease! So STOP pulling on the cord and damaging your lifeline to the most important accessory that you own.
If you have suffered the inevitable "iPhone cable fray," then you are already aware of its Achilles heel. But in case you forgot, here is a picture to remind you...

I can't speak for the entire world, but i'd be willing to bet that most people struggle to grip the factory plug and as a result remove the charger by tugging on the cable.
Cord Armor was designed for the Lightning Cable to fit snug into a cavity and is supported by two interference teeth to secure the cable. The housing then closes over the top to create a semi-permanent attachment to the cable. After extensive testing, CordArmor was shown to evenly distribute the force away from the weak points of the cable.
Cord Armor also features a built in LED light that is captivated by a momentary pressure switch to simplify low-light to no-light use. The ultra small and bright LED is powered by a 3V coin cell battery which provides about 2 years of usage considering that you are going to use it every night.
How was CordArmor designed?
CordArmor comes from humble beginnings. From an issue to a simple solution then to an amateur sketch.

I sent the above image to a childhood friend of mine named Josh. Josh is a Mechanical Engineer who graduated from the University of Central Florida. We would then spend every day of the next six months developing what we now call CordArmor.

CordArmor has been tested to work with numbers different cases. Even the bulkiest of cases such as the LifeProof and Otterbox Cases pass with flying colors! Keep in mind that CordArmor is designed for Apple's OEM Lightning Cable which is the very best! CordArmor will also work with any aftermarket cables that meet Apples exact specs.
Where is CordArmor in terms of progress?
CordArmor is ready to rock! CordArmor has passed all necessary tests. Aside from a few aesthetic tweaks, the manufacturer is on standby and awaiting approval to begin production.

Who are you supporting?
I am a 27 year old college student who is looking to make a positive impact on this world. Ever since I can remember I have been conjuring up wild inventions to simplify life. I have always hoped that I could become an inventor but never had the resources to make it possible. CordArmor comes from humble beginnings. CordArmor began as a solution for my own personal use to eliminate what I would later learn to be a widespread problem. My buddy Josh Dixon and I have put months and months into ensuring that you get the best product possible. Josh and I have spent day in and day out hard at work to ensure that we address the Lightning Cables fatal flaw. We are extremely proud that we were able to develop such a small and streamlined accessory that can provide the protective functionality as well as simplify the low-light usage.
Why support my project?
I can think of quite a few reasons to support CordArmor. One reason would be that you feel that my product can simplify your life. This means that you, like me, are tired of dealing with broken iPhone charging cables and the expenses ($30) of replacing them. You may also be starting to feel guilty for waking your significant other up on a nightly basis while you battle to plug your phone in each night. Don't wait to ruin yet another cable or resort to the cheap knock-off's. Grab your CordArmor today and rest assure that your cable is safe.
