All about me and my horror movies!
My name is Tommy Faircloth and I am a filmmaker from
Columbia, SC. I have produced two
feature horror films, “Crinoline Head” and ”Generation Ax”, and the award-winning horror short, “The Cabin”, with my producing partner Robert Zobel. All of those films were totally self-funded and shot with little or no money. I am now seeking your gracious financial
assistance in production of the long awaited sequel to my first horror/slasher film Crinoline Head which will be called…CRINOLINE HEAD 2: Dorchester’s Revenge.

My horror films were featured in such publications
as Fangoria, Film Threat, and Rue Morgue magazines and were praised by such horror legends as Joe Bob
Briggs. After my first two feature films, I took a
break from horror, but I returned this past summer with my new horror short called
“The Cabin”. It won "Best Short" at 5 film festivals in 2013 including Freak Show Horror Film Festival, San Antonio Horrific Film Festival, Fear Fete Horror Film Festival, Scared Stiff Halloween Horror Film Festival and Wilson College Horror Film Festival.
Jason Vail, who played John won his very first "Best Actor" award at Fear Fete Film Festival for his role in "The Cabin". Morgan Monnig, who played Laura, also won her first "Best Actress" award at the Salty Horror International Film Festival for her role in "The Cabin".

"The Cabin" has been chosen as an Official Selection in over 18 film festivals so far! We even signed a broadcast deal with Shorts International, to be shown on their cable channel, ShortsTV. It will begin showing in 2014 for the next three years worldwide on their cable channel.

I did "The Cabin" for next to nothing and we shot it in two days in three states with no crew. Imagine the impact and damage we could do with a modest budget! Below is a link to the trailer for “The
Cabin” and my 2nd feature film “Generation Ax”. (all available on Vimeo On Demand)

As you can see, I am
a huge fan of the slasher genre. I have wanted to do a sequel to Crinoline
Head for many years now and after listening to the fans of the first film, I am ready to attack this project! Thank you for
taking the time to review my campaign to raise the funds for the movie!

The Story of Crinoline Head
If
you have not seen the original film Crinoline Head, let me give you some
background information on the story behind Crinoline Head. It was shot in the style of an 80’s slasher
movie, like the "Sleepaway Camp" series. It was shot on 16mm film stock
and had some crazy, over-the-top kill scenes.
The
story of Crinoline Head starts back in 1980. Mary Steward and her 8 year old son, Dorchester, were
at their summer house by the lake.
During the summer, Mary would make dolls that she would sell throughout
the year to support her and her son.
Well, this particular summer in 1980, Mary died of a heart attack and
Dorchester was left there alone with his dead mother. Months go by before anyone discovers
Dorchester, and when local authorities finally find the young boy, he was next
to his half-eaten mother. Dorchester
turned to cannibalism to survive the summer at the secluded lake house, and did
not leave his mother’s side. Clinging to
a crinoline (FYI pronounced Krin O’ line)
skirt that she was using to make a doll with, he was carried off to a state
mental facility.
At that facility, he
would walk around with the crinoline skirt on his head. Doctors said he was ashamed of what he had to
do to survive, and the skirt was used to hide his face and to keep anyone from
looking at him. In 1990 when Dorchester
turned 18, he escaped the facility and was never seen again. He left everything at the hospital, except
for that crinoline skirt.

Crinoline Head part 1 takes place in 1996. A group of college students head off to a
lake house for a fun weekend only to discover that this house was the one that
little Dorchester and his mother once lived.
One by one, each student is killed off in horrific ways, and one of the students
turns out to be Dorchester himself.
Dorchester befriended these students at his college, and then leads them
to this lake house so he could slash them one by one. Two of the surviving students managed to kill
Dorchester …or so they thought. Dorchester’s body was never found the following morning. Here is a trailer for the original Crinoline
Head below.
CRINOLINE HEAD 2: Dorchester's Revenge
CRINOLINE HEAD 2 will take place in 2014...18 years after the
first film. Now, you may say, that is a
long time to make a sequel. Yes, it is
but we are not shooting this like it’s the next day or anything lame like
that. In the sequel, it also takes place
18 years later.
We begin in spring 2014. It has been 18 years since that
summer and everything at Horse Creek Lake has been quiet since that tragic
weekend. One of the surviving students
from that weekend in 1996 was Paul. He was the history buff that informed everyone of Crinoline Head at the lake house in 1996. Now Paul is a History professor at the college he
had attended 18 years ago. Unknowing to
him, he and his students are about to revisit those events of that summer and will be returning
to the lake house where Crinoline Head once lived.

In the sequel, there will be flashback sequences of a
young Crinoline Head and his mother at the lake house in 1980 which will give
the audience a look at what happened the summer his mother died. Without giving away what happens, there will
be more exciting and creative kill scenes, which the first film is known for, there
will be more blood, more gore, more victims, more scares, and more Crinoline Head! Crinoline Head will be a huge, menacing killer, killing his victims in new and creative ways to keep slasher fans like you happy!
In the sequel, I plan on bringing a darker, creepier look to the Crinoline Head story, while still maintaining the insane and creative kills with characters who deliver memorable dialogue, as in the original. Below is a short teaser I made last year to get people excited about Crinoline Head's return.
AWARDS and PERKS!
If crowd fund raising had been around when I was a young
horror fan who was trying to break into horror movies, I would have been in
heaven. Being able to not only donate to
a film I want to see, but also have the opportunity to work on the set, get
props, be an extra, and even have a speaking roll or get killed on screen is
something I would have been stoked to be able to do.
![]()
I created many perks that covers any budget that you may
have. I think they are some of the most
unique and creative awards out there, and if there is something you want that
is not listed here, please send me a message and let me know. I will do anything I can to make an award
that you would die for! You can donate anonymously if you like as well!
You can be an
executive producer on a feature film, and have your name listed as such on
IMDB, in the opening and ending credits, and all promotional materials
including posters and DVD sleeves!
Please check out the awards and perks and help us get Crinoline Head 2
made!
UPDATED PERK: SPECIAL AUTOGRAPHED PROP TO THE HIGHEST BACKER! Jason Vail, who played John Wilkinson in "Abraham Lincoln Vs. Zombies" is donating his gun used in the film to our Crinoline Head 2 Indiegogo Campaign. He and Bill Oberst Jr, who played Abraham Lincoln, will sign it and give it to the person with the highest total contribution to our campaign!

Jason will also be playing in Crinoline Head 2 so please become a backer today! Remember, the person with the highest total contribution to the campaign will get the autographed gun plus the other perks with your contribution as well.
THE CAST & CREW!
Cast so far is legendary horror scream queen DEBBIE ROCHON playing the character role of a foul-mouthed property groundskeeper. She is very excited to play this type of role and we are thrilled she wants to be involved.
![]()
JASON VAIL who starred in my film "The Cabin" will be playing the role of Paul, one of the only survivors from the first "Crinoline Head" film. He was also the star of the feature films "Gut" and "Abraham Lincoln Vs. Zombies".
![]()
JOHN KAP who has appeared along side Ice Cube and Kevin Hart in "Ride Along" will be playing the role of Crinoline Head himself. As you see, during this 18 years off, little Dorchester has grown into quite the beast.
![]()
CHRISTIAN JAMES will be playing the lead role of David, one of Paul's history students, in Crinoline Head 2. He has been seen in such films as "The Family Business" and "The Killing Secret."
![]()
MORGAN MONNIG, who was the star of "The Cabin", will also be playing a part in Crinoline Head 2.
![]()
We are very excited that award-winning filmmaker JOE STAUFFER, director of the award-winning film "Pieces of Talent", will be the Director of Photography on Crinoline
Head 2.
![]()
His film, "Pieces of Talent" took the festival circuit by storm in 2013 winning countless "Best Feature" awards at film festivals such as New York Horror Film Festival, Fear Fete Film Festival, Buried Alive Horror Film Festival, Freak Show Horror Film Festival and many more.

![]()
He will bring an exciting, dark, and artistic look to this horror sequel and will be shooting on Red One MX...but we need your support to make this happen!

As a contributor to this campaign, you will be updated as our casting and pre-production process continues. Many of the walk-on roles will be cast right here with this campaign, so if you have ever wanted to be in a horror movie, then now is your chance.
Depending on what we raise, we have some exciting roles to announce as the campaign continues.
Your Impact & The Budget
EVERY CENT we raise is going directly into the production of this movie. Without your generous donations and contributions to this
project, Crinoline Head 2 would not be possible. We need your help to pay our actors, crew
members, rent equipment, pay for locations and so much more. Me or my producer is not getting paid to do this film. We are paying everyone who is working on it....if we can raise the funds. Let me give you a breakdown of expenses
associated with this film so far:
Crew members salary: $6500
Location rentals/Special effects costs: $3500
Additional film equipment rental (generators, lights, audio): $2000
Hotel/travel/food for actors/crew: $2000
As you see this only adds up to $14,000. That is because we also have to pay a 4% fee
to Indiegogo (9% if we don’t reach our goal) and a 3% processing fee for the
funds. So if we raise our $15,000 goal,
after the fees ($1050) we will actually get $13,950.
Wait, there is more.
We also have to pay for the awards and perks such as the DVDs, post-production/editing costs, music and score, artwork, festival fees,
etc…which is why it is so important that we try to reach far beyond our goal here.
Besides being the writer and director of Crinoline Head 2, I am also a
cinematographer. I have some of my own
camera equipment and shoot my own films, so that will save a lot of money from
having to pay an additional camera operator, crew member, or rent some of the equipment that I
already own.
We are seeking to raise $15,000 and with your help we can do it!
If we go beyond our $15,000 goal, then that will give us more
opportunity for even better effects, more leverage with the shooting schedule,
and perhaps the ability to get some bigger named actors in the horror genre involved!
Due to the fact that I have shot 2 completely self funded
feature films, and a successful award winning horror short on my own without funding from outside sources, that
will hopefully give you the confidence that Crinoline Head 2 is in good hands. With your generous help, we will make a great
new horror slasher film together and you can feel proud knowing your assistance made it happen!
Other Ways You Can Help
