I have spent apporximately 3 years of my spare time developing Devawriter Pro. This is a system for digitising Sanskrit texts that implements a full compliment of Conjunct Consonants rather than relying on the use of Halants to form conjunct consonants. The process of setting conjunct consonants is automatic, allowing text entry to be fast and efficient.
This will allow Sanskrit texts to be preserved digitally in a form very similar to the way in which they were written originally, rather than the way derived from Hindi of representing Sanskrit using broken characters, which is both aesthetically unsatisfactory and leads to textual innaccuracies.
GOALS if this campaign are:
1. Devawriter Pro requires comprehensive documentation.
2. Development of a FREE version for Linux.
3. Implementation of a transcription routine to convert Devanagari text into IAST transcription.
4. Devawriter Pro requires comprehensive documentation.
Devawriter Pro should also be expanded to provide similar facilities for Grantha script.

![Grantha Interface Grantha Interface]()
5. Development of the Granthawriter.ttf font to work alongside the Devawriter.ttf font.
6. Coding associated with Grantha representation of Sanskrit.
7. Completion of the Grantha interfaces.
