DISENGAGED is the newest short film by director Christopher G. Moore and screenwriter Eryk Pruitt. The duo's last effort was the immensely successful horror comedy, FOODIE, which went on to win 7 major awards at film festivals across the country.

Their newest collaboration, DISENGAGED, tells the story of a determined young woman who faces the daunting task of taking care of her neighbors after a post-apocalyptic event leaves them frozen in place. This film could easily be an episode of The Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits and it was that sense of nostalgia that convinced Christopher to bring Eryk's amazing and demented story to life.

WHY DO WE NEED MONEY?

With every new film project, we realize we need to step up our game to make every film better than the last. We learned with FOODIE that costs can add up pretty quickly with things you require to finish the movie and even more so with film festival entries. We've already compiled a number of costs during production and still have more money that we'll need to finish post production. That's where we need your help.

By contributing your hard earned money to this campaign, we'll be able to pay for all our expenses so far and pay for the post production work that still needs to be done. The money will cover such things as:

• special make-up effects
• marketing expenses
• professional music score
• movie props
• extra post-production costs (additional hard drives, etc.)
• the use of talent
• the huge cost of film festival entries. 

Anything above and beyond our goal will allow us to make the film bigger and better and give us the money to submit DISENGAGED to even more film festivals across the country and maybe even outside the US. If we meet our goal early, we'll create some additional stretch goals and give more cool incentives for people to contribute.

WHAT DO YOU GET IN RETURN?

We have lots of great perks for any level of budget. For $5 alone, you can get your name in the end credits and we'll give you a shout out via our YouTube site. For $15 you get a digital download of the movie. For $35 you can get your own deck of DISENGAGED playing cards.

For $30, you can get a signed autograph from DISENGAGED actors Alena Koch or Jarod Kearney. For $50 you can autographs from both. Fans of the hit web series Mario Warfare may also know them as their fictionary counterparts, Princess Peach and Luigi.

The original story that DISENGAGED was based on is part of a horror story anthology called Brief Grislys and for $40 you can get a copy of that book signed by Eryk Pruitt who wrote our screenplay and the short story.
