Dungeon Kingdom is a real-time 3D dungeon crawler, with an immersive first person view.

So, why create a "dungeon crawler"? Well, firstly, as players, we LOVE role playing game and dungeon crawler games. Secondly, the game market lacks great real-time dungeon crawlers since the good old days of Dungeon Master, Ishar, Eye of The Beholder...! Apart from Grimrock, there is an almost total vacuum since that time, nothing to feed the fans of this game genre. On mobile devices this is even worse! We aim to fill this void with Dungeon Kingdom, a game that inherits many features from the classic dungeon crawling games and enhancing the genre!

Dungeon Kingdom is not just going to dust off the dungeon crawling genre; we also believe it will make its ancestor proud and a great addition to the genre. The game has the following features:
•Modern graphics and powerful dynamic lighting and shadows system.
•Multi-platform: Dungeon Kingdom is designed for and is strongly optimized to run on PC, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android devices! It has a scalable rendering system to make the most of any device. Video of the game played on Android tablet:
•Advanced AI and wide array of creature behaviours. Don't be surprised if some smart creatures sneak up behind you to attack!
•Advanced interactions with the environment: for example, you can set fire to the curtains, as seen in the video.
•Cross platform features: for example, you can save your game on PC and retrieve it on your mobile device to carry on playing where you left off.
•Multiple Environments: you won't get bored by the corridors in Dungeon Kingdom, and there are lots of surprises to find!
•Strong story background: because a Dungeon Crawler can be more than just fight / kill / get treasure, we have created a solid back-story.
•Realistic Physics engine, allowing for new kind of puzzles and realistic animations.
•Different play modes are available to fit best any player experience.
•Modern, but not invasive, features such as achievements.
•To keep the game immersive, Dungeon Kingdom's world is made of continuous levels, there's no fading or loading between levels, except for major environment changes.
We could go on for ages, and also mention most of the traditional features like heroes and team creation, magic and many more...
However, I want to insist on something that will make Dungeon Kingdom stay in your memory when you play it: its level design...! A real-time dungeon crawler is also a matter of ambience, tension and immersion; we spend an immeasurable time on level design! We want to burn the game in your memory! Those who got lost two decades ago in the game "Chaos Strikes Back" and its fantastic level design will love Dungeon Kingdom!

The team behind Dungeon Kingdom is made of professionals of the video game industry, with years of experience in game creation on various platforms. We are now all freelancers despite having all been working in traditional game development studios before. We decided to gain our freedom and we are now freelancers.
The Core team is composed of:

Frederic Duval "kanda" and Quentin Duval "Bilboee" are the developers and the conceptors of the project. While Quentin is also a web development specialist, Frederic has long history in programming games and rendering engines since the 16 bits era and started to programm at the age of 10! François von Orelli is our talented 2D artist who has hand painted all the 2D Portraits and static screens! François was taught in the French art school ("Ecole des beaux Arts").
Julien Noël, was also taught at the French art school and is a next-gen 3D modeling and texturing specialist. He used to create incredibly detailed next-gen models even with a low polygon budget. Here is a few samples of its past works: http://julienno.free.fr/3D.html
As well as the core team, there are two additional members who serve vital roles:
- Marc Lambert "Weren" the talented guy who wrote the world's history and who designs the scenario with us.

As you have probably noticed if you have watched the video above, the game development is quite advanced. Most of gameplay features have been integrated to the game already.
However, we have a lot expectations for Dungeon Kingdom : Sign of the Moon and we do not want to curb our creativity for budget reasons. Making a great game is a huge task! We (the core team) want to work full time on the project to release it sooner and with more content.
The new content we want to add will directly depend on the funds we raise. We want to add more portraits, more creatures and translate the game into more languages as requested by our community. Some new platforms such as PS Vita, Windows Phone or the Wii U are also part of our plans if the campaign has a lot of success.
So in short, the funds, beyond of the payment of IndieGoGo and paypal fee, will finance more content, more features.and will help us to finish the game much sooner.

9 000 euros (12 000 us$): We can finish the game with all content we wish and it will be translated into all the planned languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Norwegian) and we will work full-time on it, for a sooner release.

13 000 euros (17 000 us$ ): More content and new great features: embedded level editor (including on mobiles), and an awesome random dungeon generation mode will be added! Also release the game for Oculus Rift

As mentioned above, a significant portion of the game has already been developed. We use the Unity engine, allowing us to focus on the game itself instead of struggling with porting the game to all platforms. Completion is guarenteed, even we do not reach the 9000 euros goal. We are all motivated and passionate and will finish the game. And keep in mind that your funds may transform a nice game into an awesome Role Playing Game!
