Chef Jose Garcia has created a great Japanese restaurant in Union Square, Somerville but it remains a hidden gem behind a nondescript brick facade, a cheap plastic sign and a dark exterior.

A number of us in the Union Square and restaurant communities are supporting this business with our design, consulting and marketing expertise. We think Jose's restaurant is incredible and he's a talented chef and hard-working small business owner deserving of support. We need your help to bring our ideas to life. 

We've honed our big dreams into a plan that gives maximum impact for a modest budget. New lighting, a chic neon sign, colorful custom window decals and window boxes will transform the exterior, communicating to passersby the exceptional food and service within.

The Impact

Union Square's restaurant scene continues to blossom. The restaurants near the central plaza are hopping with both neighborhood customers and out of town visitors. Ebi Sushi is on the other side of Somerville Ave. from the plaza.  Ebi's facade redesign will create a visual beacon, drawing attention to yet another great place to eat just steps across the street.
