Hello, my name is Elisha. I am 20 years old and live in the UK.
I am a student at University who also does work with Autistic children on the weekend. I do not earn much money at all to be able to afford a decent computer and my family is not in the financial position to help me out.
I am studying to be a high school teacher at the moment. I know that in this business you need a back-up. I am in my last year of my degree and then I do my teacher training.
I am a youtube vidder but recently I have been asked to do some short films in the summer to be taken to the Film Festivals and I can not do them unless I get a computer. I have a laptop right now that was given to me because I am dyslexic and it helps with Uni. Its clearly just a cheap laptop for work which I am grateful for. But my laptop can not deal with the stuff I make at the moment at all and when it comes to editing films, Its going to be even worse so it would not be possible for me to do it. It crashes constantly, I loose files and the software just dies on me a lot.
It is my ULTIMATE DREAM to be able to work on movies and I have such a passion for editing. I have had no formal training but a number of professionals have told me I have a talent. I have so much support from all over the world on youtube, tumblr ect who tell me I can make it in this business. It is very rare that people can get into something as a passion and get a job out of it, and I would LOVE to be one of those few.
One of my video's was shown on the US news show "Entertainment Tonight" which really boosted my confidence that I do have a talent for this kind of work. You can see that here:

If you would like to take a look at some of my video's that I have done then feel free to do so.

A computer will help me to pursue my dream in becoming a editor and I would be forever in debt to the people who donate and I just want to thank anyone who does in advance, you have no idea how much this is helping me out.
