The return of an impossible dream: enter the world of the renowned Electric Company Theatre, through the stage door of Vancouver's largest performing arts theatre. Walk into the set from the wings. Sit inside the action of an unforgettable, immersive live performance.
ELECTRIC COMPANY: ALL THE WAY HOME
In January 2012, Electric Company co-founder Kim Collier came "all the way home" to Vancouver, directing this intimate & unplugged experience of Tad Mosel's Pulitzer Prize-winning play.
All the Way Home sold out its week-long run, with enormous buzz within the Vancouver community. The response to Electric Company's production has been overwhelming — a testament to the power of art to help us through the deepest of emotional experiences.
Seating was extremely limited during the run in 2012. There weren't enough seats to meet the demand and many audience members were turned away.
Electric Company continues to receive letters, emails, and phone calls expressing great gratitude for the experience. With your support, Electric Company is going to bring it back.
Contribute a minimum of $55 to this campaign, and you'll get a ticket to the January 2014 production as a perk. Donate more to get added benefits.
For this show to happen, we need to sell it out 6 months in advance — before it even opens.
Why? Two reasons: It is truly intimate live theatre - and – it happens on Vancouver’s biggest (and most expensive) stage.
It’s this incredible contrast; a small audience gathered within arms reach of the performance, amidst the breathtaking scale of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre that makes this production so special, and so fiscally impossible! This is something that can only occur in the non-profit arts sector, where we’re not driven by the bottom line but rather a passion to achieve and experience the impossible. The hitch? We need to fund it almost entirely through ticket sales.
It is an audacious plan, true to Electric Company's artistic vision and commitment to building community; Join us for this daring adventure.
ALL THE WAY HOME features a cast of 17 outstanding performers, including Jonathon Young, Meg Roe, Gabrielle Rose, Tom McBeath, Haig Sutherland, Alessandro Juliani, Julia Mackey and George Young;
"Collier has assembled some of Vancouver’s finest. It’s not an overstatement to say that this cast includes some of the best performers in the world." - Georgia Straight

We are planning a two-week run, and increasing audience capacity to 160 guests each night.
If Electric Company raises our goal of $100 000, we will be able to host 1900 guests in 12 performances of ALL THE WAY HOME.
Perks will be distributed in early September first-come-first-serve. Contribute early and you'll get your pick of dates/times/seats.
Help us get back 'Home':
- Contribute- get a ticket. Easy peasy.
- Get your friends in on the action - donate more for a larger perk package, and come as a group. We'll even save you the comfy seats.
- Spread the word; share the link at the top of this page on Facebook, Twitter, and email.

The Buzz
"If you’ve already seen All The Way Home, you don’t need me to tell you how wonderful and joyful this show is. And if you’re one of the lucky souls who already has a ticket, you’re in for a treat. But if you don’t have a ticket, you’re out of luck; the show’s five-day run is completely sold out. All you can hope for is that funding is found and All The Way Home will go national, even international." - Jo Ledingham, Vancouver Courier
"This production of a superbly written story is a once-in-a-lifetime experience: a chance to share the QET stage with many of the city’s finest actors as they sweep us onto the roller coaster of other people’s troubled – and beautiful – lives." - Marsha Lederman, Globe and Mail
"The most beautiful piece of theatre I've seen in years. Thank you Kim. Bravo and thanks to the truly amazing cast. This is how theatre should always be." - Gerard Plunkett, Audience Member
"There are rumours that Electric Company may bring this sold out, smash hit back to Vancouver but I haven’t heard much in the past few months. If they do, snap your tickets up right away." - Mack Gordon, Audience Member
"All The Way Home is such a tremendous example of how theatre meets life, and the theatrical nature of life itself...I am struck by an interesting truth: as much as theatre makers and avid theatre-goers may try to put into words what they love about theatre, it just never really translates – it must be experienced first-hand, and so the onus falls on theatre makers to ensure that it happens when audiences experience live theatre, especially for the first time." - Eleanor Stacey, Audience Member
