Of all the fun things you can do inside a secluded tent in the woods, we think making a movie is on the top of the list... well, maybe second.
Help us make one hell of a film with a dedicated team of filmmakers! Award-winning Filmmaker Patrick Rea will direct the feature length horror film "Enclosure." The screenplay was written by Rea and Michelle Davidson, co-host of the Kansas City morning show KC Live and CinemaKC. These two have teamed up in the past on several award-winning short films.
Patrick Rea is a independent filmmaker, recognized for his innovative storytelling and creative directing style in horror and suspense. His latest feature film “Nailbiter” won Best Director and/or Best Feature Film awards in several film festivals in 2012, including Shriekfest, Chicago Fear Fest and AMC Theaters KC Film Fest. “Nailbiter” will be distributed through Lionsgate Home Video/Grindstone in 2013. Rea is a Heartland Emmy award winning writer/director known for his stylized short films, which have screened in over a hundred film festivals around the world. Rea’s most recent shorts “Get Off My Porch”, “Hell Week”, “Time’s Up, Eve”, “Next Caller”, “Now That You’re Dead”, “Do Not Disturb” and “Wrong Number” have also garnered acclaim and are currently on the festival circuit. In the summer of 2008, Rea’s short film, “Woman’s Intuition” won a Heartland Emmy Award. In 2009, Rea was co-director on the “Jake Johanssen, I Love You” comedy special, which aired on SHOWTIME throughout 2010. SenoReality Pictures won its second Heartland Emmy Award with their short “Get Off My Porch”. Rea just wrapped a new short film titled “RHINO” starring Malcolm Goodwin (A&E’s Breakout Kings) and Keith Loneker (Lakeview Terrace).
SenoReality Pictures has built the reputation of high quality, engaging stories that offer audiences an opportunity to indulge in the best parts of escapism provided through film.
What We Need & What You Get
Enclosure will be shot in Kansas and Missouri, utilizing local crews. All the money donated through this campaign will be used to take Enclosure from the page to the screen. While money goes farther in the heartland, there are still costs involved in making a quality film from equipment rental to catering.
The Impact
Your contributions can make a difference! Naibiter, Patrick's last feature film, was a three year long labor of love. Why? The reason is simple, funds. The struggle that faces every filmmaker is the cost to produce. You can have a brilliant script, vision and dedication but without the funds, the project will never be completed. Your support is critical and through the perks available we want to recognize your generosity.
Other Ways You Can Help
Some of you just can’t contribute, but that doesn’t mean you can’t help:
- Share the link to this campaign with family, friends and colleagues.
- Do you have an old four-wheeler? Donate your four-wheeler, even if it no longer operates and help us supplement our props budget.
- Do you have any unwanted hunting apparrell? We want your worn Carhartt jackets and hunting supplies.
