"Creating a digital presence for parents of LGBTQ youth!"

Hey Internet!! We're Kristin (right) and Dannielle (left), and for the past four years we've run an organization called Everyone Is Gay. We write an advice column, we make crazy videos, and we travel all over the country speaking to students about making change.
Thousands of young people have shared their stories with us over the years – most of which include parents who don't believe them, who wonder what this means for their future, who are concerned about religious beliefs, or who just don't know WHAT to say.
After spending hours scouring the internet for a resource that provided question-specific, easy-to-navigate, digital content for parents of LGBTQ kids, we found NOTHING.

In short: we decided to create this missing resource ourselves.
The Parents Project will be a digital presence dedicated exclusively toward helping parents understand their LGBTQ kids.
The Parents Project will feature videos and written advice in which Kristin and Dannielle will speak directly to parents' initial questions, such as: "Is this my fault?" or "Is this a choice?" It will also feature parents and kids from across the country (and world!) sharing their coming out experiences, and include resources specific to parents of LGBTQ kids. It's through The Parents Project that we hope to change the way parents interact with their LGBTQ kids.

Parents, you guys. As much as we need them, they need us too. They need us to love them, to believe in them, and sometimes they need us to help them understand.
We love you. We need you.
We also need equipment, web designers, publicists, managers... we need a TEAM to make this possible. That's where YOU come in. We've partnered up with IndieGogo to raise the needed funds. How does it work? You donate, and we use those donations to put our plan into action.
