Short Summary

The Classic Theatre of San Antonio is a small professional theatre that focuses on classic plays form the past, present and the future.  We were formed in 2008 to fill a void in live theatre in San Antonio, Texas.  We are an IRS recognized 501 c (3) charitable not-for-profit organization.

What We Need & What You Get

For 5 years we have been resident in the Sterling Houston Theatre at the Jump-Start Performance Co. in the Blue Star Arts Complex in San Antonio.  The management of the complex has chosen not to renew Jump-Start's lease so we have been forced to find a new venue for our thriving company.   We have been welcomed to the Blackbox space at the Woodlawn Theatre.  To continue our production values, some modifications to the space are required.  The Air Ducts in the space restrict the scenic and audience space.  We need to move the AC ducts.  This move will enhance the scenic space and allow for more audience.

The Impact

Your contribution will allow us to concentrate our funds on artistic values.  We pay a stipend to all artists involved in our productions.  Every dollar that we can defray from administration and building is another dollar for art.
