Short Summary
My
name is Anthony Castellon, and over the past few years I have been writing
scripts and slowly learning about film making by jumping directly in and
working creative angles of producing films. I recently graduated from the
University of Illinois at Chicago with a bachelor’s in English Literature. For
years I studied and sharpened my creative and analytic writing and thinking
skills. That in combination with a passion for story telling has propelled me
to collaborate with Frank and Jack in order to share this passion through the
medium of film with the world. Slowly but steadily over the past few years we
have crafted scripts and begun to produce those scripts into completed films.
This
particular campaign is strictly to raise the funds in order to pay for
professional sound and dialogue editing for two short films that we completed a
year ago, and half a year ago respectively. It is important to us to get these
funds because the sound editing is the absolute final aspect of these films
that needs to be completed. Once the sound is complete we can release these two
films, and not only begin to put ourselves out into the world as filmmakers for
everyone to see, but also to spread the remarkable talent of the cast and crew
who helped our scripts come to life.
Any
one contributing to reach this short term goal will be directly investing in a
much larger prospect. Essentially any contributions made to finish the sound
for these two films will function as a springboard for myself, Frank, and Jack
as artists and filmmakers, and help get us into a larger space where people can
see our work, critique us constructively, and begin to expand our collaborative
network with other artistically minded and film interested individuals and
groups.
What We Need & What You
Get
We
need a total of $2,000 US. This money is strictly to pay Alex and Alan from the Experimental Sound Studio, here in Chicago, to put in about 3 days
worth of work into professionally editing the sound and dialogue for our two
films. The Experimental Sound Studio is a non for profit company. Check them out at http://www.experimentalsoundstudio.org/.
They have already screened the films as they currently stand and know
exactly what to do and how to do it in order to finalize the films. Every cent
of this campaign goes directly to paying these two guys for their hard work.
Some of our unique perks are the song lists and the Prop grab bag. The song list shows what Jack and I were listening to while we were writing the scripts! Jam out to what we were and understand the final project on a different level. The grab bag props you could receive are props we used in the film. The prop will be the Clown Wig worn by Guy F. Wicke in A Day at the Office, the Triangle Pendant worn by Andrew Jessop in A Day at the Office, The Suit Coat worn by Brain Alan Hill in Fearful Endeavors, and the White Tie worn by David Lawrence Hamilton in Fearful Endeavors.
If
we cannot reach the total goal of $2,000, whatever funds we do raise go directly
to the sound, just as if were to reach our goal. The only difference here is
that we would have to really scrape our pockets for the remaining amount.
The Impact
These
films were created with the intention of giving back to the people around us.
We are looking solely to make films that are thought provoking, relatable, and
enjoyable. Any contributions made to this campaign will directly be helping
finish these films. Essentially, contributors will be funding something they
plan to enjoy and share with others. Every cent that goes towards this campaign
will be helping toward putting out something in the world that will add a
little enjoyment for avid film watchers.
