The Story:

"Peter and the Colossus" is a film about a young boy named Peter and his estranged older sister Rachel. After the sudden death of their parents, Rachel is forced to return home to take care of her little brother, but while juggling two jobs and her own love life, she loses track of the real priorities in life. Because of the traumatic experience, Peter refuses to utter a single word, making a social connection with anyone extremely difficult. He uses the forest near his home as a means to escape the outside world, and it is there that he forms a very unique and unexpected friendship with...a tree giant.

What's Been Done:

Peter and the Colossus is done with principle photography and is currently in post-production. Filming took place between late November 2012 and late February 2013. We had an amazing cast and crew and managed to get set designer Vanesa Furnari to assist in creating the suit used for the giant! Everything turned out great and the footage looks amazing. Before filming a campaign was made on kickstarter to originally raise funds for the film. So, you may be asking why in the world do we now have an indiegogo campaign?

With kickstarter, we only raised a little over half of our target goal of $7,500. The rest of the funds needed to shoot the film came out of my own funds in order to get the ball rolling.

What This Campaign is For:

Every dollar donated in this campaign goes straight to this film, I'm not pocketing ANY of the money for myself. With the film shot and nearly edited, what we really need are the funds in order to finish the mastering of the audio and also all of the intricate sound design that will really help bring the film to life and give it a very polished, professional feel to it. Most of the money will also be going to our talented composer who will be doing the score for the film, he really deserves to be compensated for the amazing work he's done.

Money raised will also be used toward getting "Peter and the Colossus" into film festivals worldwide!

If we even go over our target budget, we really hope to give back to so many of the people who were involved with the production of the film. The cast and crew that worked practically for nothing and gave up their free time simply to help bring this story to life.
