The
Story
Sometime
during their last sold-out concert at Madison Square Garden in 1973,
more than $200,000 was stolen from Led Zeppelin's safety deposit box
at the Drake Hotel. The money has never been found.
We
came across this gem of a story at a party at our friends' Zachary and Stella's earlier this year and decided right then and there that this mystery needed to be resolved. If not for the fans, then for lovers of rock n roll. So, being the crazy kids we are, we wrote a script, cast some pretty fabulous actors and assembled
one of the tightest, most talented indie crews around, and as you read these words, have literally just wrapped on the filming of our movie.
“Fleecing
Led Zeppelin” is our take on a true story that's been sitting in the dusty files of Rock n Roll history
for 40 years. It's a short film that will pay homage to Led Zeppelin and
their fans, as well as everyone who just likes a rip roaring good
story with snappy dialogue.
The
Creators
Individually
and collectively we have been creating award-winning, original content across
media platforms for more than 20 years. With 7 short films already
behind us, 'Fleecing Led Zeppelin' is our latest, most ambitious
project and one that we believe has the legs to go the distance to be
adapted into a Feature length story.
Ask
anybody in Indie film making, you don't do it for the money. Our
primary purpose is to create beautifully shot stories with unique
characters who truly explore what it means to be human. Characters
who the audience can relate to and leave them walking away feeling
engaged and entertained. In this case, we're gonna make you laugh.
What We Need and Why
“Fleecing
Led Zeppelin” is currently
siting in post, and that's where you come in.
We
always wrote this short film to be adapted into a Feature and so now we need to make
sure we have the money for all that back end stuff like
Post-Production (i.e. Editing, Motion Graphics, Title Design, Color Correction, DVD Authoring and Duplication, Sub-titling, Sound Design, Soundtrack composing & recording), Film insurance, Film Festival entry fees, Marketing/Promotion and Screening Venues.
When we reach our goal (and we will!), this will allow us to provide
the finish that Studios and Producers now expect on the Festival
circuit.
We Got Perks !
Because we know some of you are
going to be mad Led Heads, we've gone all out and created some great
perks just for you. For just $10 you can get a digital version of our
Limited Edition Movie Poster, for $30 you will receive a 'Fleecing Led Zeppelin' Postcard with your own personal message from the creators, and for $45, you will receive a Limited Edition 'Fleecing Led Zeppelin' patch. And if you want to go all out, grab a bundle of $10,000 in $100 bills for a paltry $500 (er, but we should point out that the money's fake. A good fake, but fake nonetheless.)
The
Impact
The
story of the Led Zeppelin robbery is music lore and that's what makes
this film so appealing, not just for LZ fans but for all lovers of
Rock 'n' Roll history. Given one of us is from Cleveland (that'd be our
Director, Gabe), it made sense when it was suggested to us, that we should submit the
film into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland. So we're going to. See, we're not just story tellers, we're also music lovers, and well, we
think this is one hell of a rock 'n' roll story.
