ABOUT THE SHOW
Billy Pilgrim escapes death in WWII then wakes up with a porn-star on the planet Tralfamadore. After aliens show him the meaning of life, Billy returns home to NY and preaches their philosophy.
Our goal in producing Slaughterhouse-Five is to reveal the struggles of soldiers coping with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder both overseas and at home. By sharing Billy Pilgrim’s story, we hope to give audiences a deeper understanding of the pain, fear, and detachment experienced by American soldiers who have survived trauma.
After three years of adapting Kurt Vonnegut's classic novel Slaughterhouse-Five, playwright and TFT Co-Founder Daria Tavana was granted permission by Kurt Vonnegut’s estate to produce the play at FringeNYC. We have a powerhouse cast, a great venue, press representation by Heller Highwater LLC, and the hardest working production team in New York City. Now we need your help to ensure TFT’s production makes a huge impact at FringeNYC this Summer!
The production will feature Jamie Effros*, Rachel Berger, Anni Weisband, Christopher Travlos, Lena Hudson, Bruce Bluett, Zane Roberts, Quinn Coughlin, and Dorothy James. Set Design by Zachary Sitrin with Liz Nelson, Costume Design by Liene Dobraja, Lighting Design by Sara Gosses, Sound Design by Dan Acampa and Aidan Meyer, Projection Design by Scott Fetterman with Sam Gurry, and Prop Design by Joe Raik. Assistant Directed by Ankita Raturi and Stage Managed by Tyler Winthrop with Jane DiBartolo. Produced by Daria Tavana, Anni Weisband, Steven Kreager, and Reni Calister. (*Appearing Courtesy of AEA)

ABOUT THE COMPANY
True False Theatre (TFT) is a non-profit performing arts company committed to exciting and empowering New York City. TFT challenges the imagination and celebrates the ways in which desire and impulse define human relationships through the creation of fresh, fearless theatre.
TFT makes a continuous effort to stay connected to emerging and established theatre artists, our audiences, and the community. In the past two years, we have made our presence known by hosting countless residency programs and events as a means of empowering local artists to share their voice. TFT was the GRAND PRIZE WINNER of BEST PLAY for their production of After Eternity at the 2013 Venus Theater Festival. TFT was also the WINNER of BEST SHORT PLAY for their production of Firework For Real at the 2012 Planet Connections Theatre Festivity.
In May 2013, TFT secured an official linkage with long-time partners at the Ali Forney Center. This has resulted in an invitation by their organization to create a free theatre program for the center’s residents in September 2013.
