Fund the Fun: Camp Cedar Cliff's 2014 Scholarship Campaign
We believe that a week at Camp Cedar Cliff can change lives.
We believe every child should have the opportunity to experience the spiritual
and social benefits as well as the fun of camp. Will you join us as we create
opportunities for each and every camper to attend camp?
Last year, we raised nearly $20,000 which was generously
matched, providing 90 campers with a week of camp! This year we want to provide
at least 150 scholarships for
campers. But we need your help to do that!
Giving to the online campaign is just one way you can Fund
the Fun.
The Facts
When you donate through Indiegogo, you’ll be part of a
larger fundraising effort that will continue throughout the year. We have until
January 20th to scholarship at least FIVE campers through the first
online campaign. We get to keep ALL of what we raise no matter if we reach or
exceed our goal. Indiegogo charges a 4% fee on the amount raised, but this is
the lowest fee of the sites like this. Check out the quick facts to see how the
funds are used.
o The
tuition of a week of residential camp is $720. This covers program fees, food,
lodging, and staff salary.
o Families
apply for scholarship through a simple process and every applicant is awarded
something.
o Last
year we gave an average of $525 per scholarship. The amount is determined based
on need.
o The
family or often a church will cover the remaining balance ($120 tuition+$75
registration fee).
o Using
the average scholarship amount and allowing for the 4% fee:
If
we raise $2,730 online that’s enough to send FIVE campers to camp
If
we raise $4,375 online that’s enough to send EIGHT campers to camp
If
we raise $6,562 online that’s enough to send TWELVE campers to camp
If
110 people give $25, we’ll EXCEED our goal of $2,730 and FIVE campers

Like you heard on last year’s video, Camp Cedar Cliff is a
life-shaping, incredible way to strengthen a child’s relationship with Christ.
Camp often introduces kids to what it means to know God. Sometimes counselors’ extra attention
and confidence that your camper can succeed is all a camper needs to build
