What is this ?

The Fusion converter is an adapter device allowing gamers to run MVS (arcade) NeoGeo cartridges on their AES (home) systems. This helps breaking the often ridiculous price margin between the home and arcade versions of the games, with no compromises regarding the gaming experience.

Funding is necessary to start production. If succesful, a first batch of 30 converters will be made thanks to this funding campaign, profits will then allow to continue manufacturing other batches.

This project is held by 24-year-old Sean "furrtek" Gonsalves, originally an electronics technician who became more of a contract engineer/manufacturer for custom electronics related to video games and leisure in general.

What we need & What you get

Money only ! The converter actually works with about 95% of the complete NeoGeo collection already and will probably reach a few more percents before production. The funding goal covers all of the production costs for 30 converters.

By participating, you'll preorder a ready-to-use Fusion converter with a 20% discount.

A prototype of the converter can be seen above. The production version won't have any wires, and the boards will be black with (a bit of) white text.
No plastic casing as the assembled converter is already sturdy enough, and making molds for plastic injection would require about 10 times more money.

Be sure to take into account the shipping fee for your country (the converter will ship from France), to add into your participation later on. It weighs about 250g.

The reason

The NeoGeo community has been waiting too long for a reliable and inexpensive converter. Multiple devices existed and most of them were known to produce graphics glitches, and needed mods to correct them. The Fusion converter is extensively tested with a vast amount of games to provide the highest compatibility rate possible.
