We're Debs & Errol, a geeky comedy music duo from Toronto, Canada! We released our first original album, "Songs in the Key of Geek" last April and the time is nigh for another project!
We've written a whole bunch of parody songs during our two years as a band and our goal is to release a six-song digital EP with some of our favourites. We want to do it right, which means recording in a studio and getting the songs professionally mixed and mastered. We want to send the EP out into the world this September and we would love your help!
Perks!
A crowdfunding campaign wouldn't be complete without fantastical perks, and we have some great ones! We'll include your name on a giant Thank You page in the magical EP-pdf and everyone who donates (regardless of level) will get to vote for the sixth song on the EP!

When you donate, your email will be added to a mailing list. After the campaign is over, we will send out an email to everyone with a link to a poll where you can vote. We'll also put all of the songs in one place so you can hear the rough demos and/or read the lyrics! Here are the contenders:

Comicize Me!: We will email you and ask for a picture to draw from! You can also decide what you want to be wearing. To see an example of a character, click on the "Gallery" up at the top. The image is approximately 500x500 pixels and sent in as a .png. Can you say new profile pic?
I Wish Totoro Was My Shaker!: We know it seems crazy, but we really are hand-knitting these! Please note that the delivery date will vary depending on the numbers - the art of getting egg shakers into Totoros is a delicate business! If you want to see one of these in action, click on "Gallery" up at the top. There's a video!
Tasty, Tasty T-Shirts!: We're going for black T-Shirts with the "Debs & Errol" logo on the front. When you order them, please let us know whether you would like a Women's or Men's shirt and your size.
Google Hangout Concert:
"Up to eight friends" Google Hangouts allows ten computer connections at a time, so what we really mean here is "up to eight other computers". That's ten total including you and us! Multiple people can watch on the same computers of course. That part is up to you!
These concerts will all happen in 2013 and we will contact you to pick a time and date that works for everyone! You'll have to be flexible with us though as Debs will be in and out of Toronto all summer.
Where does the money go?
Our budget is roughly divided into thirds. The first third is going to studio recording, including the travel expenses to get there. The second third will cover mixing and mastering. The last third is going towards perks (so it'll buy us yarn, shakers, T-Shirts, and awesome sauce limited edition comic books). There are also the normal fees that Indiegogo and PayPal charge and of course, shipping. Lots and lots of shipping. Where's Kiki's Delivery Service when you need it?
If we raise more than we need or have any money left over, we will use the rest of it to record more songs. Huzzah!
