***The World's Largest Shabbat Dinner will take place in June 13th 2014***
What is the World's Largest Shabbat Dinner?
The simple fact is, here in Tel Aviv, we LOVE Shabbat! So to spread our love of Shabbat around the world and inspire the globe to celebrate Shabbat in a warm and inclusive environment- just like we do here in the 'White City'- we are attempting to host the first ever Guinness Book of World Records World's Largest Shabbat Dinner!
This dinner will make history, build community, and kickstart a global movement that will inspire Jews worldwide to celebrate Shabbat in their own communities. We know that more than the Jews have kept Shabbat, Shabbat has kept the Jews. So we are going BIG here in Tel Aviv, the innovation and creative capital of Israel- and the city we are proud to call home.
This is a time for all of us to come together, as one family, to celebrate Shabbat. Our meal will uphold the highest levels of Kashrut and Shabbat observance so we may all unite as one, presided over by the famous Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv, Rav Yisrael Meir Lau.
Why are we throwing this event?
This question is almost silly. Why wouldn’t we throw this event? Tons of Jews, lots of l'chaims, and exponential Shabbat spirit in the most exciting city in the Jewish world today- what's not to love? We know that Tel Aviv as both an ideal and reality is the most attractive place in the world for young Jews. Creating the first-ever World’s Largest Shabbat Dinner with the Guinness Book of World Records will further establish Tel Aviv as one of the most important cities for the Jewish People today.

Who are we?
White City Shabbat is the premiere portal for Jewish Life in Tel Aviv. Bringing the concept of Shabbat dinner parties to a wider community, the organization hosts its own private, warm, welcoming, all-inclusive Shabbat meals every month. White City Shabbat also hosts holiday celebrations and meals, Jewish learning series, beginners learning minyan, and inter-community programming.
The World’s Largest Shabbat Dinner is partly sponsored by Hangar 11 in the Port of Tel Aviv, Golan Heights Winery, NakedSea Salt, the City of Tel Aviv-Yafo, and the Am Yisrael Foundation.

Let's make this happen together!
In order to put on this event we need $25,000, which will pay for the venue, caterer, insurance, security, and all of the logistical requirements needed in order to comply with Guinness Book of World Records’ regulations.
We can't do it alone- we need your help!
By bringing this event to crowdfunding, it won't be just 1,000 Jews sitting down for a Shabbat dinner, it will be thousands or even hundreds of thousands of Jews worldwide coming together to create a piece of Tel Aviv, Israeli, and Jewish history. By asking all of you to help raise funds for this event, we are hoping that you will help us show the worldwide Jewish community that Shabbat is the soul of the Jewish People and Tel Aviv is a focal point of the Jewish world.
