Please help my tarot decks find their way to eager hands.
Hello, I'm Colleen.
For years now I have wanted to Illustrate a tarot deck. Up until I began work on the series I knew relatively little about tarot, but I was attracted to the idea of expressing through symbolism the rather involved respective meanings of each of the cards into clearly evocative and aesthetically graceful compositions. The number of pieces (78) is much more than in any of my past series. The challenge is exciting and has already been a very transformative process for me creatively. Most of all though, I hope to see my illustration in the hands of people who can study and interact with it intimately; to create something and then be able to really surrender ownership of it to the user.

My processAs both an illustrator and fine artist I value the time honored character and vitality of painstakingly hand drawn illustrations. After months of work I am about half way through the illustration of this 78 piece series and seeking funding to see it fully illustrated, printed, and in the hands of anyone who could appreciate it.

What this project really costs:
- Each marker costs 4 dollars (each illustration exhausts about 1.5 markers)
- Each Pencil costs 2 dollars (every two illustrations exhaust about 3 colored pencils)
- 1 sheet of Paris Bleed-proof paper costs .275 dollars
- Every illustration costs about 8 hours of my life
- The estimated printing cost is 15 dollars per deck

And in return...
I am not looking for any handouts here all donations at the requested levels will be treated as pre-orders on prints, decks, and original illustrations at a considerable discount from the post printing price. All pre-orders will ship promptly upon completion of the project (estimated to be in early September) before the opening of the show.
And remember, if you can't contribute financially any kind of support you can offer is still always welcome.
