My lateest project is a new web series that I am producing

Harlem River Drive Overview:

This Series focuses on five semi-professional 30-something’s; all coming to terms with entering a new phase in their life, and the relationships that unfold.

CAST OF CHARACTERS

 Faye

30-ish goal-oriented businesswoman. Works for an Ad agency. She likes order and being in control of situations. Kind of a serious/intense personality. Emotionally repressed, likely to blow up eventually. For the most part, she’s able to keep her feelings in check, except when it comes to Mason. She’s not able to fully express herself when it comes to him, but she knows that she’s not fully over him –although she’s currently engaged to Julius. She and Mason were a couple in College, where they also met. She is best friends with his sister, Mallory. Faye has decided to accept Julius’ proposal because she does love him, just not as much as she loved Mason. She still hasn’t told Mason that she’s engaged (revealed in Pilot) Though she did date others since leaving Mason, those relationships never worked out because of her unresolved feelings about Mason.
Everyone knows she still loves him, but is too proud & emotionally repressed to show it. She also really does love Julius and believes this time it
will be different.

Mason

30-ish Writer, found success pretty quickly. Very charismatic and smart. Kind of a flirt; but at this stage in his life, he’s looking for “the one”. Talkative and always energetic. He was immature when he was with Faye, but now that he’s a little older & his career has taken off, he’s ready for a fulfilling relationship. He knows he’s screwed things up when he was with Faye, but now he’s ready for a second chance; never mind the fact she’s now engaged. His sister, Mallory is Faye’s best friend, so he tries to keep tabs on Faye through her. Overall, Mason is a good guy, easy-going, the “steady” of the group, though not very emotionally mature. Mason has written 3 successful self help books, and is great
at giving others great advice, but he isn’t good at doing the right
thing for himself.

Mallory

Just turned 30, Free-spirited personality, floating from job to job. Very lighthearted and easygoing. A softie for her close friends, never forgets a favor.  Mallory is Mason’s little sister. Can put her foot in her mouth from time to time. Can be a little nosey & a bit of a gossip. She makes friends (and enemies) easily because of her open nature. She doesn’t hold her tongue & always speaks her mind -but in a totally charming way. She and Faye are best friends. They balance each other out, since Faye is a more stable and responsible that Mal. She’s been wanting the two of them to get back together, and has been playing instigator –in a sense. She’s always in some drama with a guy, since the guy she was really in love with dumped her at the altar a year prior. Ever since then, she’s been casually dating, making sure to never get too close to anyone ever again.

Kevin

30-ish professional, host of a popular Travel Show. Life of the party, very funny and charming. Naturally lucky guy, things always have a way of balancing out for him. Ladies man, always talking about some chick he’s hooked up with while traveling for his job –although he’s supposed to be in a relationship with this girl back home. Though he can come off as a player, he’s really sweet with family and friends. He and his father are very close (whom he gets his personality from) Kevin is Mason’s best friend, they went to college together. Kevin is kind of like the male version of Mallory (they may hook up soon) He’s always in some drama with a female, which is his own doing.  He can’t stand too many emotional scenes; he’s always trying to lighten the mood with a joke. He’s not into “heavy” conversations; has the tendency to run away when things get too serious.

Ronnie

30-ish blue-collar worker. The more sensitive one of the group. Probably the most mature too. He’s laid-back, hates to upset anyone, but will always be honest with his feelings. He is bi-racial, and had something of a complex about it growing up; as kids used to tease him about “talking & acting white” Now, Ronnie, often feels the need to prove his blackness, as he sometimes has an inherent sense of shame & guilt about being half-white As a high school senior, he got his crush pregnant. They aren’t together, but manage to keep things civil for their son. There may be room for reconciliation between them since there is minimal tension.

 
The Impact

If financing is not secured the film can't be produced. Unlike many other
campaigns on the site, I have the means and capabilities to edit and do color
correction, but I don't have the capital to upkeep a set for 5 days. I want to
be able to have a set where the actors and crew are happy, motivated, and well
taken care of. In order for me to do this I need to be able to get the equipment
that they need to do a great job, I need to be able to have safe and reliable
transportation for everyone, and most importantly I need everyone to be well
fed. This will be the first project that I have written to be entered into film
festivals around the country.

What We Need & How you can benefit:

We are looking for $8000. This money will allow us to secure the following
equipment and services; Director of Photography with a Canon 5D kit, Lighting
Kit Rental, Location Rental (3 Different Areas), Sound Equipment Rental,
Insurance For 3 days, Catering For 3 Days, ny Permits, Wardrobe For a Total of 5
Actors, Photographer, Poster and Promotional Designer, and Film Festival Fees.
We appreciate any amount that you donate and to show you how much we do
appreciate you support we plan on giving everyone a ticket to the private
screening of the finished film in Los Angeles The screening will be done before
we enter it into the festivals.
