We at NeXt have been drivers, passengers, back seat drivers. We've done it all.  We often see people driving while texting, eating a sandwich, putting on makeup and driving - sometimes all at the same time! 

We love the thrill of driving on a curvy road on a sunny day, but we also hate reaching for our phones with guilt while driving or risk getting lost in a new city. At NeXt, we believe that technology needs to adapt with our evolving needs. 

So we built HeadsUP! to help people stay safely connected while driving, without ever having to look down at their phones.  HeadsUP! evolves the ability of your car, and adds your important social interactions and the best mapping software, all on the corner of your windshield!

Is HeadsUP! illegal?

No, in many states making phone calls or texting on your smartphone are considered offenses. But, most states have exemptions for hands-free, non-obstructive devices such as HeadsUP!.

What about regulations against placing something on the windshield?

Legislation bans affixing items that will block the driver’s view of the road. HeadsUP! utilizes a transparent screen, so the driver can see the road at all times.

I want one. But how do I install it?

HeadsUP! is a stick, connect, and play device. Installation should take less than 60 seconds for the average user, and does not require assembly.

Does it connect to my existing Car speakers?

Yes. HeadsUP! can connect to your car speakers, with bluetooth. (In the final HeadsUP! we are planning to include a 1/8th" port for aux connections).

What if I drive different cars, or what if I’m a baller and own 10 cars?

HeadsUP! is designed to be portable. Removing the unit from one vehicle and placing into another vehicle is a piece of cake.

Can I watch videos from my Smartphone?

HeadsUP! is not intended to play video from your smartphone - because that would be really distracting!

What's next?

We have a patent pending on the design and have existing relationships with suppliers for the components. We've invested all of our own funds so far to develop the 2nd prototype.

We need $50,000 to complete engineering & software development to have HeadsUP! ready for mass production. We have taken this as far as we can on our own, and now we need YOUR help to make this product a reality. Let's make a difference together!
