Hello friends!
I have been enamored with glass since I was small. It started with admiring the occasional stained glass door insert or decorative light fixture. I didn't have the vocabulary to know what I was looking at, but I loved it all the same. Unfortunately, as long as I have been in love with glass, I have also suffered from anxiety and depression. I didn't have the vocabulary to know what I was experiencing, but it impacted my life all the same. I have worked with many glass processes, such as stained glass, kiln forming, and lampwork beads. I have been in many dark places with my mental health as well. My goal is to use my art, which has been a therapeutic element present throughout my life, to conquer my fear of failure, success, and life in general. Today, I specialize in torchwork/lampwork beads, and will eventually focus on small scale glassblowing. I am upgrading my equipment to take my art in a new direction and continue the healing process. My goal is not to buy everything in one swoop, but to build up the necessary equipment and supplies over time. Toward this goal, I offer a tiny piece of my art to anyone who wishes to support my journey in a small way, facilitating healing bead by bead. Each $15 dollar donation will be reciprocated with one bead handmade by myself, similar to the beads pictured, but as they are handmade, each bead will be unique. A $200 dollar contribution will be acknowledged with a stunning handmade meditation mala (28 beads including the guru bead, not sized for jewelry purposes), with all beads made by myself, except for the sterling silver guru bead cap. Some beads will be made on hot days when I have a headache, and some will be made when I am feeling optimistic and dreamy. Learning to work through the hard days is part of the journey, and it will mean so much more with you by my side. Each bead will be lovely, high quality art glass borne from the flame, a grateful heart, and annealed for years of enjoyment.
Thank you for reading.
