We are currently working with a number of schools to provide kits. Your donation will go towards bringing the ILIAD project to a school. At the end of the campaign, we will work with the schools to decide which kits will best meet their needs. Schools receive a personalized note from donors and donors receive a report exactly how their donation was used. The more donations received, the more we can teach Science and test for new antibiotics. If you would like your donation to go to a specific school please let us know.

We will fly anywhere in the U.S. and provide a presentation and hands-on demonstration for ~30 people. Contact us directly if you want more people involved. This can be a full day experience, in which students learn about antibiotic resistance and how they can contribute to identifying new antibiotics using our kits. Our goal is Science awareness.

Why We Believe in The ILIAD Project

We believe science is at the point where it can no longer advance at a rapid pace with a small number of people attempting to do all the work in universities or pharmaceutical companies. Consider the computer industry. When computer access became more widely available and open-source software was developed, it changed the world because everyone could become involved. It allowed anyone from around the world to develop websites, products, social networks, and much more, many of which have unimaginably impacted society for the better. In a similar manner, imagine that by participating in The ILIAD Project, we could develop new antibiotics. We strongly believe in making science accessible to anyone and, in doing so, permit you take part in it.

 

Why We Need Indiegogo.

Our goal is to have 1,000 participants. Most of the money will go to providing kits and the rest will be for infrastructure to maintain The ILIAD Project website, servers, and providing support and data validation. We encourage anyone to participate in order to identify new antibiotics and create the largest anti-bacterial database.
