Hosted at various locations around NYC, this multi-disciplinary festival of Haitian art & culture will showcase the diversity, beauty and vitality of Haiti and its Diaspora – from the traditional to the contemporary.

Selebrasyon! will be the first of its kind in New York.

By partnering with different community groups, HCX is working to make this an accessible, dynamic festival that seeks to highlight the dynamic presence of Haitians in New York and build awareness, appreciation and conversation around the Haiti of NOW.

Beginning on Haitian Flag Day on May 18th during Haitian Heritage Month, and running until the end of June which is Caribbean-American Heritage Month, Selebrasyon! will present events hosted in collaboration with different organizations, institutions and artists, such as:

  • Haitian Flag Day Selebrasyon!
  • An n’ Pale | Café Conversation with Mimerose “Manzè” Beaubrun followed by a LIVE performance with Boukman Eksperyans
  • La Rèn Solèy | U.S. Film Premiere, Panel Discussion & Live Musical Tribute to Martha Jean-Claude, Toto Bissainthe and Lumane Casimir
See these and more event details below.

We are seeking your support to make Selebrasyon! a festival to remember.

We are looking to our community to help us meet a fundraising goal of $7,500. Funds raised will directly support our programming efforts and help make Selebrasyon! a landmark festival in New York City’s summer scene.
