I'm Rusty Wilson, and I've been called the world's greatest Bigfoot storyteller. I'm a flyfishing guide, and I collect stories I've heard from my clients around the campfire. I've done this for years, and I'm amazed at the number of people who have had a Bigfoot encounter.

OK, now here's the deal. I happen to know exactly where some of these stories took place. I want to take the months of August and September and go to these locales, which are primarily in the Pacific NW and Canada, and see if I can find my big hairy friend. I think, knowing what I do, that I have as good a chance of coming up with some real evidence as anyone. My main goal is to prove they exist so we can get busy preserving their habitat.
I'm not afraid of Bigfoot, but I am terrified of grizzly bears, and my loving wife Sarah won't let me go without having some kind of hard-sided shelter. I'd be fine tent camping, but what if she's right? I sure don't want to be part of some grizz's gourmet meal (well, maybe not so gourmet unless you don't mind the smell of trout). It would also be really cool to have some help with gas. I already have a pretty good camera, but I need some recording equipment.
As a guide, I live on peanuts (which Bigfoot love, BTW). I'm pretty much an expert on the subject, and I really think I can find the Big Guy, going especially to these locales where strange things have happened. In any case, I'll write a book about my adventure, and if I actually obtain irrefutable evidence, you'll be the first to see it via my blog. I've done a lot of Craigslist searching, and I don't need anything fancy by way of shelter - I think I can get into a small trailer pretty cheap. I also need gas money (gas is now $5/gallon in Canada). I hope to cover a few thousand miles, and I'll also need some Bigfoot bait (peanut butter and jerky and maybe even some ice cream once in awhile).
I'll be posting to a private blog as internet access allows with photos and exciting adventures, which only donors will have access to. How do I know they'll be exciting adventures? Because anything to do with Bigfoot is always exciting, even when Uncle Hairy's not around. It's just something about the nature of the thing, I guess. Plus, I seem to have a talent for finding craziness, wherever it is, when it comes to Bigfoot.
And if you can't help, let your friends know about this, OK? Someone's got to prove these guys exist so we can start conserving their habitat. I think I have as good a chance as anyone, given what I know about their habits and quirks and love of ice cream (can't reveal what flavor, but think Ben and Jerry's plus Grateful Dead and you'll get it).
