As mothers of children with ASDs, we founded MarbleJam Kids, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, as a call to action to provide responsible arts programming to children with Autism. Established in 2007, the organization started with one signature after school arts program specifically designed for children with autism.
Today, MarbleJam Kids is a NJ Division
Developmental Disabilities (“DDD”) authorized service provider of
creative arts therapies and enrichment programs for children of all ages: not
only for those with ASDs, but also those with developmental disabilities and
other special needs. MarbleJam Kids Center for Creative Arts
Therapy, located in River Edge, NJ, provides many creative options to meet
the array of challenges families face with today's growing population
of children in need. But in order to serve the many children with autism in our
state, we need to add another location.
MarbleJam Kids firmly believes that unlocking the creative potential and building a safety net of support for individuals of all ages with special needs is the key to success. MarbleJam Kids has provided services to over 400 children over the past 8 years. Through collaboration with school districts and state agencies MarbleJam Kids continues to advocate program support for children and families in crisis. All programs are supplemented through the fundraising efforts of its volunteer board of directors; the mission of which is to provide necessary support for all individuals to thrive as active participants in their own communities. THE IMPACT
Continued support of our programs!
When you provide
affordable options for creative exploration in individuals with special needs,
you impact individual families and the communities at large.
This campaign will allow us to supplemental funding for programs, and to
expand our reach into financially distressed communities where gaps in services
leave developing children without opportunities for growth. These therapeutic
opportunities, where kids learn and explore the arts as a means and tool for
communication and well-being, give families hope. The need and the
potential is too great to ignore.
