Howdy!
My name is Marcus. I am a musician, audio engineer, songwriter and producer in Chicago, Illinois, and I am on a mission.
I have been making music my entire life (I was fortunate enough to study classical and jazz guitar at a really wonderful arts academy called INTERLOCHEN in Michigan), but I only started singing a few months ago.
Why did I start singing?
I was engaged to a really pretty girl. She left. My heart broke.
So I started singing songs.
Tell me more!
These songs are the result of my coming to terms with a breakup, a spiritual re-birth, the fragility of time, and it's amazing power to soften the harsh edges of love. Since I started this project a few months ago, lots of amazing things have happened. I was invited to play my music and be interviewed on NPR, my band and I were invited to play a Daytrotter session, and we were able to book a few tour dates to support the release of the first EP, EASEL.
However, we had to get to those gigs by taking the Greyhound bus. Also, we slept on floors and in garages.
Yup. We were those guys on the bus. The guys with the drum kit. And the guitars. And the luggage. Nobody likes those guys. Please help us get a van!
What else?
Now we have a North American tour that was booked for us, and it has happened so quickly and unexpectedly that we are really worried we might not be able to make it to these shows! We hit the road in June (we need this van!) and continue on until December! We are truly grateful for the opportunity to be able to play music for all of you lovelies, but we don't have any money for a van. :(
THIS IS WHERE YOUR GENEROSITY AND COMPASSION STEP IN!
We need YOUR HELP to make this tour come to fruition. :)
The joys of giving!

As such you will be furthering the growth of the independent music community where you live, you will be helping to support an entire team of artists, photographers, videographers, and small businesses affiliated with our music, and you will attain that wondrous, fuzzy feeling of having contributed toward the growth of our career, the blossoming of our dreams, and the Ramen noodles we will eat until the end of days.
Also, you give and you get! Check out some of the amazing benefit packages that could be yours!
I want to help but I have no money!
We understand that some of y'all just can't give. We're in the same boat, but there are ways that you can still help out!
Please spread the word about our campaign. Tell your friends. Use the share tools on this site to tell folks about our campaign! Add/follow us on social media networks and make some noise! You can always support us by coming to a show, and of course through listening to our music. :)
Thank you!
