HELP US SAVE STARJAM
Many great charities have been folding due to lack of funding. And when the doors are closed, it’s too late.
In order for StarJam to keep helping young people with disabilities, we need you to swing into action.
StarJam is a non-profit organisation that’s transformed thousands of kids’ lives over the past 10 years. We give young people with disabilities (known as Jammers) the opportunity to forge friendships, gain confidence and express themselves through music, dance and performance.
We run regular weekly performances programmes throughout the year that culminate in a huge annual stage show. This requires a lot of resources. It costs us $2,000 per child per year.
Our Jammers have shown us over and over again that anything is possible. Inspired by them, we are launching this campaign to keep our programmes going as long as the kids keep wanting them.
Our goal is to raise NZ$100,000 (approx US$80,000) during the month of August 2013. This will enable 50 kids with disabilities to take part in StarJam for a whole year. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DONATION AMOUNTS ON THIS WEBSITE ARE IN US DOLLARS.
There are two ways you can help save StarJam
1. Please give generously. To reward you for your donations, we’re offering you some really great perks including special attention from New Zealand’s favourite stars.
2. Please share this page with your friends and family on Facebook. For us to save StarJam, lots of good people like you need to hear about it, so please spread the word!
From all the kids at StarJam, thank you so much. You're wonderful.
All about our perks
15 fabulous Kiwi celebrities are giving their time so we can offer really special perks in return for your donations. You get to choose which celebrity/ies you want as part of your perk, and you’ll receive it as soon as their schedule allows.
For those kind folks donating $25 or more, your name will be added to an online rolling list of supporters. You can choose a pseudonym if you wish.
