ABOUT HIDDEN DOOR
The Hidden Door Festival will create an incredible experience of the arts for the audience. From 28th March until 5th April 2014 some of the most promising breakthrough creative talent from across Scotland will radically transform Market Street in Edinburgh, and its 24 disused vaults, into a single-site urban arts festival for 5,000 members of the public to enjoy over the course of 9 days. They will immerse themselves in live music, art installations, film screenings, theatre and spoken word events, whilst enjoying high quality refreshment - turning this quiet back street just off the Royal Mile into the only place to be in the capital.
WHY WE NEED FUNDING
The unique nature of the venue also unfortunately means that it is lacking in a lot of the infrastructure that would be available in most venues. We have no power, no water, no heating, no sound, no lighting. In order for Hidden Door to reach its potential as the incredible party we all know it can be, all of this has to be brought in ahead of the festival, and sadly this takes money. We will use this investment to ensure that come 28th March, the vaults are magically transformed into the most exciting venue in Edinburgh!
As a not-for-profit organisation, Hidden Door commits to investing any money left over after the festival into setting up even bigger and better events in future.
In return for the funding you give, we offer a variety of perks in return, ranging from tickets to the event to VIP access and exclusive artwork from Hidden Door contributors.

You can still help. Hidden Door relies on people spreading the word. Please let your friends know about this site, or if you would like to volunteer to help at the festival in any capacity, get in touch on hiddendoorvolunteers@gmail.com. Alternatively, if you have anything you would like to offer as a perk to the campaign, please contact us on crowdfunding@hiddendoorblog.org.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All perks are subject to availability. If a perk is unavailable, we will offer an alternative or provide a full refund. Festival passes and artwork will be dispatched prior to the start of the festival, please provide a shipping address when ordering these items. Or if you want to save us the postage, you can arrange to pick them up from the festival site instead. Goody bags must be collected from the festival site.
