Minairons and Multi-scale
We Minairons Miniatures are a Catalan company aimed at producing hard-plastic or resin miniatures for wargaming and collecting. As some may already know, our first range of models is related to Spanish Civil War and is currently being developed in 1:72 and 1:100 scales alongside; but, accordingly to our multi-scale production philosophy, we'd love to start making such awesome models in 1:56 scale too.
However, producing all three scales altogether is quite of a financially risky business, and we do need your help to make it all possible.
All 3 scales altogether?
After noticing our 1:72 and 1:100 scale ranges, several hobbyists have insistently asked us for starting production in 1:56 scale at a short term.
However, we have realized we wouldn't be able to keep all three ranges growing altogether at a rate sustainable enough to keep users satisfied --not without an external funding help.
But we were committed to doing this, and shall not resign that easily. This is why we have thought of launching this campaign: if you reader are a fan of Minairons Miniatures, our SCW & Inter-wars model kits no matter the scale, we are proposing to you the following deal: help us funding the 1:56 AFV below, and your money will transform into plastic or resin models --pence by pence!
The Project
Hispano-Suiza MC-36 was a design by "Sociedad Mercantil de Hierros" company for the 1935 contest to provide an armoured vehicle for the "Guardia de Asalto" Spanish Republic's Security Force. The contest was finally won by the Bilbao Armoured Car, but the 5 Hispano-Suiza MC-36 already built were preserved --so that they still had a chance to help defending the Republic when the military uprising finally outbroke.
Although far from 100% certain, it seems that some 10 Hispanos else were then built, besides of the 5 original prototypes. They had to fight hard in the first months of civil war, and some were captured by the Nationalist rebels. One of them at least was modified by replacing its original dome turret by that of a T-26 tank. That particular one was used as a command vehicle.
We are planning to make a resin 1:56 scale model of this stylish AFV. Following our general principles of good quality and ease of assembly, it will consist of some 8 major parts --two for hull and mud guards, another four for each double wheels set, and both alternative turrets. Some three or four supplementary lesser parts are also expectable.
It's hard to guess right now the price it will have in the end, but it can be reasonably estimated in around EUR 20.00 - 25.00 each model, depending on eventual accessories included.
Your Contribution
If you are a fan of Inter-wars or Early WWII AFVs, whatever the scale; if you're willing to watch our catalogue quickly expand into that fascinating period, please help us and contribute with some amount to this particular project. In exchange,
- You will be rewarded a gift voucher the same value of your contribution, that you'll be able to use at our www.minairons.eu website for purchasing anything on sale there --not solely the current project vehicle, but anything!
- You won't need to spend it immediately, but will be able to keep it for later instead; because such vouchers will be valid throughout a period of time (6 months, 1 year or 2 years, depending on the amount you've invested; please see perks at right). This way you'll have plenty of time to decide when and what to purchase from Minairons Miniatures.
- Besides, if you're an European resident contributing at least € 125, your order will enjoy free shipping --provided that voucher is used in full on that order.
- Otherwise, if contributing at least € 150, your order will enjoy free shipping worldwide --provided again that voucher is used in full on your order.
- It doesn't matter if 1:56 is not your favoured gaming scale. By contributing to this campaign, you'll be helping the model to be possible in your preferred scale too. For we are committed to expanding our AFV ranges in 1:100, 1:72 and 1:56 scales alongside.

Last words
Please notice this is not an All-or-Nothing project. From our point of view, it implies that the projected model will be made for sure, whatever is to be the amount collected in the end. Only that the more it can be collected, the more chances we'll have to develop all 3 scale ranges altogether and at a decent speed.
Please contribute to this project, and talk about it!
