ABOUT "HOT MOM"

Hot Mom is a series about a mother daughter relationship that goes BEYOND the typical limits of family. Sasha and Heather Birch are best friends. Closer than close, they are deeply connected and practically live in each‐others' back pockets. Sasha shares things with her mom that the normal 20 year old would never dream of‐‐details about boys, sex, her social life and insecurities. Heather does the same, and makes herself a little too present in Sasha’s social life.

There is seemingly no filter between the two of them‐‐and they are the only two who don't see their relationship as strange. 

HOW YOU CAN HELP!

We need to shoot our first run of episodes! We have had some interest from a noteable network, and need to show them what we've got! 

We are deeply committed to this project and we believe it is a great idea with lots of potential. We also realize that great ideas don't always get off the ground for free. That's where YOU come in! We are looking for contributions for food, equipment, transportation, etc.

A professional actor by training, Katie is now emerging as a young Producer having co‐produced the short film anthology “10X10Montreal” which aired on CBC this past fall. The project had success at several festivals including Toronto International Film Festival 2012, Regard Sur Le Court Metrage, Rendez-Vous Cinema Quebecois, LunaFest, La Comedy Short, Just For Laughs, and Youngcuts. She has worked with Montreal film Production Company Prospector Films (Sorry, Rabbi, Last Woman Standing, Rhymes For Young Ghouls, Michael's Story) as a production coordinator and Associate Producer. Katie continues to audition and pursue her first love of acting, and has worked on such projects as Misogyny, Misandry, a feature written and directed by Erik Anderson, as well as the Sci‐Fi web series The Process, as well as ongoing voice work. 


DIRECTED BY: Dan Beirne 
Dan Beirne is an actor and writer based in Toronto. Co-creator of award-winning web series The Bitter End and Dad Drives, Dan has been nominated for two Canadian Comedy Awards and continues to work closely with the comedy scene in Toronto. He is pretty nice, I think you'd like him.

DIRECTED BY: Kyle Gatehouse
Kyle Gatehouse is a Montreal‐born actor and director. He began performing at a young age, enrolling in the Canadian Improv Games while still in high school and competing in the national
championship three years in a row. He is a member of SideMart Theatrical Grocery, with whom he has co‐created and starred in a number of award‐winning Theatre productions. Kyle has
appeared in numerous films and television programs, and has worked with fantastic directors like Roland Emmerich, Todd Haynes, Duncan Jones, Walter Salles, Stefan Ruzowitzky, Bruce
McDonald and many more.

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY: Jan Belina Brzozowski
Jan Belina graduated from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema in 2007. He went on to complete a Master’s in Cinematography at the internationally recognized National Film School in Lodz, Poland. After 5 years perfecting his skills, he is bringing his craft back to Montreal, along with some of the most exciting imagery in Cinema right now.

She studied acting, dancing and singing at the Randolph Academy of Performing Arts, and is a graduate of the English LIterature Program at the university of Toronto. Miriam Gallou is a creative writing student living in Montreal. After completing a DEC in Cinema, Video and Communication she spent a year studying in Film Production with the University of
Concordia at Mel Hoppenheim's School of Cinema. During this time she has played the proud role of writer, director and editor on many short films including a 6 episode workshop series.
Miriam is now enrolled in the University of Toronto's Creative Writing continuing studies program and is working on becoming a novelist. Miriam is also a Flight Attendant for Air Canada.
