RF SHANNON's music gets to the Spirit of a people, a place, a thing, and an idea that has happened, is happening, and will happen again.

We have been playing together in this incarnation since February 2013, and we believe that good things happen very quickly. Help us move it up and shake it down.

'Communitas' is the nitty gritty feeling of what it is like to live here with other people, and we want to create a feeling through music that engages an exchange of real things and true senses. We have been told that our songs conjure images of the southwest and the deep south, which is the crossroads of where we're from. We know this place and want to tell its story. The deserts, the dustbowls, the woods, the water... the streets.

Our talented friend Daniel Hill came over and shot video of our normal Sunday ritual: fishing and rehearsal. This is basically all that exists of our work, and we're hoping to expand upon it exponentially. You're donation is much appreciated.

HUNTING SONGS EP

We are asking for $1,500 to pay for studio time and a limited number of pressings. We will offer the recording as freely and easily as possible through downloads and handmade packages that you will receive just from being around or letting us know you want it.

This is intended as a first step for us and a first sip for you.

IN THE LONG RANGE

By recording this EP, we will have captured the essence of our intentions and thus have a solid foundation to begin sharing these sounds and ideas in meaningful settings via touring and happenings. We have enough material to keep us busy for a while, and we're curious to see if you're curious to see what could happen.

Music is a force that sustains us in subtle and profound ways, and we want to explore it. Since NASA is no more, LET US TAKE YOU TO THE FINAL FRONTIER!
