Short Summary
Hello my name is Philippe, and I am a filmmaker. I have done more than 50 documentaries for BBC, 20th Century Fox, French TV, and Indie Productions. I am experienced in video and sound production as well as post-production. My wife Maxine has over 10 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She has appeared as an actress on NYPD Blue and City of Angels, she is now a screenwriter.
We have become aware of a disaster going on in the Pacific Ocean: The Plastic Island floating twice the size of Texas. Well, in fact, it’s not an island floating. It’s worse than that. It is like a soup floating at different depth, with different size plastic.
This plastic right now is killing about a million birds worldwide every year, and 100,000 marine mammals. We are responsible for that, not only as a nation but as a human race. If we don't stop right now, we are going into a disaster. The plastic is releasing chemicals into the ocean and polluting our source of life. After doing research we estimate that the Pacific Patch is going to reach the West Coast of America in about 4 years....Then we will see hundreds of dolphins, sea lions and whales dead on our beaches...
It is time to radically change our habit with plastic worldwide.
That is why we are doing this documentary, and will translate it to as many languages as we possibly can to reach the entire population on earth.
It seems that when people see what is really going on, their common sense of survival makes them change, for the better, and for the betterment of future generations to come.

What We Need & What You Get
We need $50,000 to achieve this goal. $12,000 is going toward the video and sound equipment. $20,000 is going towards the travel expenses (Plastic garbage sites: Hawaii big Island, Kauai, Atolls, Pacific Garbage Patch, Malaysia beaches), $4000 for the post-production, $1000 for the voice over, $8,000 for the online promotion worldwide to reach 1 million view worldwide the first month, and the rest in payment processing fees from this site.
If we don't reach our entire goal, then we will still do the documentary with what we have. However, it will take much more time...
Everyone will still have his film copy or online digital copy, and you will be on the films credit roll as a contributor. Remember, this film is going to be viewed by millions of people worldwide.
The Impact
