The Campaign
I just graduated from The New School in December of 2011, and since then I have been trying to develop my career as an artist in New York City. This has not been easy! But I am continuing to thoroughly enjoy the process of growing and making my mark on the world with music. Throughout the past few years, not only have I been playing music live with several different projects, but I have also been writing and producing music electronically. I am almost done recording the electronic album. This past summer (2012), I was honored and privileged to be able to record an album of my original music with my friends Zach Brown and Corey Fonville. My friend Vincent Santucci engineered the sessions at Studio West in San Diego. As you probably already know, recording an album is only half the battle. The post production process can take a lot of time, effort, and resources to complete. In order to release the albums right, I am also planning a tour of the West Coast with some other friends of mine - Tamara, Pawan Benjamin, DJ Harrison, and Moncrease. This way I can create a buzz surrounding the release of these albums. We will all need the financial support for touring expenses (travel, food, shelter, etc.)
So given that, and given how much I love you, please donate whatever you can to support it! These will be my debut albums that I am releasing and I can't wait for you to hear them!
If you buy an album in advance for only *7 dollars* I will personally send you an album of digital sound files to your email inbox before the album's official release date...
This will help me out immensely! Obviously, the money you donate to the campaign will go toward the expenses of making the albums, so really - I won't be making ANY money. But I am happy to receive your support in order to release the albums. These albums are not for making money - they are for the pure joy of releasing my art into the world!
What We Need the Money For
Luckily, I have recorded one of the albums already, so the recording process is already completed. I have two different albums, both needing to be mixed, mastered, and manufactured. This process will be carried out by several generous, but hopefully not under-paid, people, but all in all, each track will probably need an average of $100 to mix and master. The albums will contain approximately 26 tracks total, so this is already a total of $2600. To make physical copies of the albums is about $1 a piece. So for 500 copies of an album thats $500. For 2 albums, this will be approximately a total of $3600.
The beauty of this campaign is that by buying an album in advance you are helping me complete them! Everytime you buy an advance copy, a song will be completed and in its final phase of production!
Whether I reach my goal or not, all of the money will go towards the tour and completing the post production and manufacturing of the album.
