The Katio & Dogio are vented to allow the smells out while letting fresh air in. Katio & Dogio also have a nice big window for your cat or dog to sun themselves and enjoy the view. There's also no more bending, squatting or kneeling down to "scoop the poop" because now the Katio or Dogio is at standing height in your window. They are also ADA compliant because they're at wheelchair height in your window.

This Katio™ & Dogio™ Merchandise Kampaign is to help us get our brand out there on the market to start gaining national recognition in preparation for the Katio & Dogio product release in late Spring/early Summer 2014

History of Katio

Alden came up with the concept for Katio back in the mid-90's while living in a small apartment in New Orleans. His sketches sat in a folder for 3 years until he decided to draw up the patent at the end of 1999 while living in Los Angeles. He received official patent pending status in June of 2000 and then set out to bring Katio - originally called The Windbox - to fruition, but after a financial setback, he returned to New Orleans in 2002 and began working on finalizing his business plan. Once he had the written part of the business plan completed in 2003- 2004, he began working on the financials as a group project at Tulane University's Freeman School of Business MBA Department. Everything was moving along and nearing completion when Hurricane Katrina hit in August 2005. At that point, the Katio project had to be put on hold until 3 years later in 2008, following a fresh start in Atlanta. Once settled in Atlanta, he set his mind to finally bringing Katio to market! Beginning in early 2011, Alden, his new wife Kelly, designer Maggie and two 3D CAD designers began working diligently to finalize Katio. After dozens of meetings with manufacturers from both America and China, Alden finally realized that the Katio could not only be made in America, but could be completely made in Georgia. Since then, Alden, Kelly and Maggie have been working non-stop for the past 2+ years to bring Katio - and now Dogio - to market this Spring 2014!

Immediately following this kampaign, we will be launching our Katio & Dogio Product Kampaign, where you will be able to pre-order your Katio & Dogio units.

Our Katio Kampaign needs to raise $33,000 to cover costs like compensating our amazing designer - who's been living off of ramen noodles, completing our [DFM] Design For Manufacturing plans so we can build our Katio & Dogio products, acquiring our International Patent [PCT] and placing minimum orders to stock our online store. The purrks of this kampaign are your first chance to order Katio & Dogio merchandise. We're setting out to be the next "BIG THING", as we strive to make Kute Kitty™ & Dappy Doggy™ household names! Check out the gallery for pictures of each purrk so you can see how adorable they are. You can help us be the next big thing in the nearly $60 Billion [annual] pet industry and beyond!

If for some reason we do not reach our goal, the rest would have to come out of Kute Kitty's kitty, unless Dappy Doggy can dig up a small fortune in someone's backyard. Our Impact Mission & Charity Partners

This is just the first step in Katio & Dogio gaining brand recognition. Bringing the product to market this Spring/Summer will allow us to make a difference in the animal world. A crucial part of our mission is working with our 5 No-kill Animal Shelter and Rescue Partner charities to give back to our furry friends. Once Katio is established on the market, we will donate 5% of gross annual sales to our 5 Charity Partners. Our mission is to help spread the message of spaying and neutering your pets to decrease the amount of unwanted animals filling up shelters across the nation and worldwide.
