Creative Grove artist & designer market
The artist market, created by Uta Brauser, curator, artist and visionary culture instigator, has brought social innovation to Jersey City's image as an Urban destination!
The market has planted seeds of artistic growth and presence in the public. It has spawned and inspired many activities throughout the city and consequently fostered creative development.
Participation in the market makes you part of this movement either by dancing to the tunes of the deejay, having dinner on the plaza, purchasing original handmade designs by local makers, artists and entrepreneurs or as a vendor tapping into the visibility, network, talent and sales aspect.
No other market brings you into the presence of the community's networking potential and ingenuity throughout the year.
The warm welcome to newcomers and locals leaves a lasting impression about Jersey City.
The organization producing the event is Arts in Action, a non profit for the arts, based in Jersey City.
The event has grown with a lot of love and volunteer labor; it is absolutely necessary to offer regular salaries to who keeps the wheels squeaking. The event has been sponsored and funded by the grassroots efforts of Arts in Action and local businesses, participating artists and entrepreneurs and in part by the Department of Cultural Affairs.
The budget needs have been met so far at 30%, we need the community to step up to show support and the desire to keep the weekly events in place.
Other Ways You Can Help
Some people just can’t contribute, but they can
- offer volunteer help
- get the word out and make some noise about your campaign.
- use the Indiegogo share tools!
- bring their friends to the weekly events
