Short Summary

Saving Grace Rescue Inc is a 501c3 non profit rescue for kittens that are underage, injured and special needs.   Four months ago, we took in a four week old kitten named Stockton that had experienced recent blunt trauma to her spine and was unable to use her hind legs.  Stockton received a grant through Scout's Fund and began intensive physical therapy at Scout's House in San Mateo that includes low level laser treatments.  Today, Stockton can move and place her hind legs, has significant muscle development and her pain is minimal to nonexistent.  Stockton's grant is nearing an end and we hope to continue her amazing progress by purchasing a laser for the rescue to use in house.  Additionally, the laser will be use for skin wounds, inflammation, swelling, joint pain, neurological injuries and generalized stress among many other applications in all of our rescue animals.  Eighteen year old Gracie's arthritis, Joaquin's inflamed hind legs joints, Abner's head wounds and resident Kai's allergic dermatitis are just a few examples of immediate uses for the laser.  

Lasers penetrates tissue to stimulate regeneration of damaged cells. The laser used in the type of therapy we plan to do is low level and does not heat tissue. The result is decreased inflammation and rapid tissue healing. One of the greatest effects is pain control without medications. SGR kittens are often too tiny to receive heavy pain medications but still need management of pain.

What We Need & What You Get

Any donations received in excess of the goal will be put towards veterinary bills and supplies for kittens that come into the rescue over the next year.
