Little Pink Balloon
serves as the first collaboratin between the powerhouse, all female creative
team of Joanna Bowzer, Lacy Wittman, Dorothy Krajewski, and Cheryl B.
Engelhardt. Adapted by Joanna Bowzer and Lacy Wittman from the stage play
by the same name (also written by Bowzer), the piece was presented on the Lower
East Side of New York City in Fall 2010. Once complete, the creative team
aims to present it as part of the narrative short film programs at the major
film festivals including the Sundance Film Festival, the Tribeca Film Festival,
the Toronto Film Festival and others. Further, it will serve as a
showpiece produce of the creative team with the ultimate focus of raising money
for a feature film.
WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN US
While we could list a
host of reasons you should join us in this film making adventure, we will
outline the top three here. 1) This all-female creative team boasts a
pedigree of film, theater and music credits, and each member is already
established individually and your contribution will support this new collaboration
between these up-and-coming filmmakers. 2) the unique script was
carefully developed and adapted, showcasing modern storytelling techniques, but
filtering them through the noir lens of classic cinema and you will be credited
with bringing this new view of filmmaking to the screen. 3) This project serves
as an exciting stepping stone, not only for the creative team, but also for our
contributors as they will have an opportunity to invest in future projects as
well as receive producing credit on a festival-bound film.

raise the rest of the money to complete our project. The funds raised
will go towards our post-production expenses, distribution, festival and
marketing costs.
