Rudeness sees the light in 2004 in Grosseto, Tuscany
In more or less ten years it demonstrated to be something more than a simple record and street-wear shop.
If you are skinheads, mods, football fan, scooter boys, casuals, punx or hardcore kids
Or if one of your passions is about punk rock, British subcultures, northern soul, original Jamaican music, hardcore, post-hardcore or scooterism, you probably have been listening talking about this small shop in the very center of Italy.
But Rudeness is even something more than a point of reference for a whole scene.
It represents a way of running a business, that comes from the passion, the heart, the experience, the way of life, the story of a person, before any commercial interest.
But right now, Rudeness story is going towards a sad ending.

The recession that is striking Italy, also hit Rudeness. No customers, together with the cynicism of the banks and with a whole political and economical system, that is not supporting at all the small business from which very often entire families depend could make this shop of us closing.
And this very shop is an important part of all of us. Probably some of us from Grosseto, from Italy and from Europe as well, have been taking part in a concert, a scooter meeting, an all-nighter, a dj set, a lesson in a school, a radio program made with the support of Rudeness.
Rudeness has been giving so much to all of us without ever asking for anything back
In this moment, with this recession, a touch of solidarity can just keep us united.

Rudeness nasce nel 2004, tra le basse mura di Grosseto in Toscana. In quasi dieci anni di vita, si è dimostrato essere qualcosa di più di un record shop e molto più che un negozio di vestiti. Se siete skinheads, mods, football fan, scooter boys, casuals, punx o hardcore kids o se siete appassionati di una cosa qualsiasi tra punk rock, sottoculture inglesi, northern soul, musica jamaicana delle origini, hardcore e posthardcore o scooterismo, avrete sicuramente sentito parlare di questa piccola bottega al centro dell’Italia. Ma Rudeness è anche qualcosa di più che un punto di riferimento per le sottoculture. Rudeness rappresenta un modo di lavorare che parte dalla passione e dalla conoscenza, da una storia, da un intero stile di vita, molto prima che da un interesse commerciale. La crisi che in questi anni sta devastando l’Italia a livello economico ha colpito anche Rudeness. Questo nostro negozio rischia di chiudere, colpito da un severissimo blocco dei consumi e dal cinismo delle banche e di un sistema politico e amministrativo che non riconosce valore alla piccola e media impresa andando a colpire quei commercianti che hanno piccole attività da cui spesso dipendono intere famiglie. E Rudeness è davvero il nostro negozio. È nostro perché molti di noi a Grosseto, in Italia ma anche in Europa, si sono trovati a prendere parte a un evento organizzato con il suo aiuto: un concerto, un raduno, un all-nighter, un semplice aperitivo, una lezione in una scuola, un intervento alla radio. In questi anni, Rudeness ha dato tantissimo a molti di noi. E non ha mai chiesto nulla in cambio. In questo momento di crisi, mostrare solidarietà può solo renderci più uniti. Aiutateci a salvare Rudeness.
