** note from Lawrence Polsky - the guy who started this page
I started this page because I so strongly believe in helping Louis – he is a great guy who has helped me a lot, very generously over the past year. It is just so amazing to me that he just lives down the street and is running with me and coaching me for free.. He has become a friend. 20 years my junior, but still. I want to give back. I am inspired by the determination he has to get to the Olympics.
It started when he was 5years old: Louis ran 1 mile to school, and back, on his first day. He was #1 in the US for 800m (1/2 mile) in high school. In college, he was NCAA Conference Champion in 10K Cross Country. He was top ranked US Sprint distance triathlete in 2011, competed in Beijing at International Finals and was 7th in world in his age group . Now he moves to the next level as he moves to Colorado in May to take his training hard core.
He works 2 jobs. Trains extensively. And has a dream that is reachable. His family is totally behind him, letting him live at home. He has a coach that has coached others to be Olympic Triathletes. He’s got everything. He could just use some help financing the many things he needs to keep moving forward.
I have most of this info on thid fundraiser page, as well as a video in the gallery section of a short 2 minute interview I did of him where he talks about WHY he wants to be in the Olympics
Thank you to all who have generously gotten us this far.
We would love to have YOU on Team Tutti before the May 1 end of the fundraiser!
**************
I am sure at some point you have dreamed of that Olympic moment. You know, where you see yourself in the Olympics. The glory. The fanfare. In your mind’s eye at least.
Louis has this dream. But Louis' dream is a little different than yours or mine.
He has a shot. A real shot at winning the gold.

It's the typical American story: talent, a dream, hard work. The path to the Olympics is a hard one. Like all our paths. There are no sponsors that drop out of the sky (not until he wins in the Olympics). There are no specialized facilities. There are no days off.

Join Team Tutti (Louis' nickname which appropriately means 'all together')
Louis is doing it on his own. Relentlessly. Daily. Hourly. As he says "you just have ignore the pain. Just push on when your mind says no more."
But he can't do it without the necessary tools for success. Running shoes. Racing uniform. Tires. Bike repairs. Travel costs. And the like.
![alone on track]()
He works like all of us. 2 jobs. Working to make money. Working to make it to the Olympics.
Typical Day for Louis:
* Wake up at 5am. Workout. Run or Bike.
* Leave for his work - this month he is remodeling his grandmother's kitchen (he went to school for architecture)
* Spend a few afternoon taking care of neighbors kids as part of a day-care.
* Find some time to work on his new sport drink, Kimbia Chai, which he just got into Whole Foods
* 5pm Workout again. If it is a swim, that starts at 8pm when pool opens.
* Relax with friends once a week if time.
* Get up and do it again.
His hard work is paying off. So he is taking it to the next level. He is moving to Colorado in May to be near his coach and train hard core.
Support Louis in making his Olympic dream, and your Olympic dream, a reality. When he goes, we all go. When we support his dream, we say "I believe". "I believe in dreams. I believe in hard work. I believe in perseverance. I believe that we can tap into our talents and push ourselves to be best."
Help fund the dream. Louis will make your donation into gold. Literally.
With 2008 Gold Medalists (Jan Frodeno, Louis, and Emma Snowsill)
