The traditional outerwear model takes an average of a bunch of people and designs patterns accordingly. By trying to fit everyone, they are effectively fitting no one.

Fit has been a compromise we have always dealt with and we may not even realize that our sleeves are way too long, the torso is too short, or there is not quite enough room for full range of motion.

Our patent-pending system starts and ends with you. Tell us about the style of fit you are looking for. Then with the help of our detailed instructions we get precise measurements of your body which are fed into our software to scale the patterns for the perfect fit. Every custom pattern is double-checked by a trained pattern-maker for consistency and accuracy leading to a guaranteed perfect fit.

Doesn’t fit exactly right? We’ll fix it. We want you to be psyched about your new gear, not feeling like what you got is just “good enough.”

On your own or with the help of one of our design consultants, you choose your material between the durable waterproof Sympatex or a more lightweight waterproof Polartec Neoshell depending on your needs.

Then choose your colour, style, zippers, pockets, sleeves, hood design, everything. Want specific details like pit zips or a powder skirt? You decide all of this, not some designer thinking of you as part of a generic market segment.

As avid outdoor users and inhabitants of this planet we want to take the best care of it we can. We're realistic, though - we ARE starting an apparel brand. And this means we will be adding more "stuff" to the planet. We are addressing this in three primary ways: made-to-order manufacturing, responsible materials sourcing, and direct shipping.
 

MADE-TO-ORDER MANUFACTURING
Our radically different supply chain means we only make what we need. Traditional apparel seasonal turnover and the desire for fresh new things means left over materials and unsold goods make their way to the landfill every year. The general apparel industry is one of the world's largest polluters. We don't make gear that doesn't already have a home, and the gear we do make is going to be exactly what you want built to last a long time.

With recycled and recyclable material we are excited to be a part of closing the textiles loop. Sympatex is PFC and PTFE free and completely carbon neutral. With Sympatex we envision a future where you can send your whole jacket back to us at the end of its life and we will turn it back into a brand new jacket.

As industry professionals our team has seen first hand what happens when companies overestimate and overproduce their material needs. Brands want to inject new colours and new designs every season, but what happens when orders get cancelled and forecasts change? The sad truth is that a lot of those materials end up in the landfill. Sitting in factories and warehouses around the world are thousands of meters of leftover A-grade materials, known as deadstock. We have sourced this fabric directly from Polartec partners and can put it to use while keeping it out of the trash.

DIRECT SHIPPING
Every product we make will be shipped just once - directly to you. This not only cuts down on the emissions associated with the product, but we can also be creative with our packaging since your jacket isn't sitting on a shelf for months on end. Oh, and did we mention that shipping is free? We'll cover the costs, duties, etc. to get it wherever you may be.

INCLUSIVITY FROM THE GROUND UP

Think about it. The first thing you do in any apparel shopping experience is identify your gender - Men’s or Women’s. That doesn’t make any sense to us. We want anyone and everyone to feel comfortable in their gear. And your gender has nothing to do with that. Your perfect fit and style choices are what we care about.

This marks the end of men's v. women's colours, the pink tax, and other common practices that have become the norm in the outdoor industry.

May - August: Fulfill Indiegogo orders based on first order in, first order out timeline
September: Launch the full brand - yes, we will have pants and softshell at this point

We have been hard at work developing our systems and processes, but we don't yet know what we don't know. Our expert team has been in the industry for a long time, but anytime you introduce a change like this you are bound to run into some challenges. As we come across these challenges we will be fully transparent with our backers and solve them in a way that leaves you happy and proud to support our company.

Supply Chain Risk: We are kinda shaking things up here, but we are working with trusted partners in our software, manufacturing, shipping, customs logistics, and every other piece of the puzzle. But even the experts aren't immune to weather, port congestion, and other uncontrollable factors.

Whatever happens, we'll get through it together and keep you in the loop the whole time.
