Story 2: Thalasania
Following a costly outcome against the pirate band Neontooth, Rosemari pauses her vendetta to travel to Thalasania, a floating network of oceans which have merged to form a massive super-continent. Home to the Psari, a diverse species of water breathers, this aquatic paradise is home to valuable resources - and ancient dangers. Her first solo job begins as a simple monster hunt, evolving into a royal dilemma which places the fate of millions squarely in her klutsy lap.

Story 1: Missed Shot
On the eve of retirement, Doctor Masaka treats himself to a luxury cruise. Unfortunately for everyone aboard, his derpy protege has come along! Easily bored and impetuous, Mari quickly drives everyone around her nuts. A hunky space janitor named Songbird invites her to a romantic ball, until their fun is cut short by the Pirate brigade, Neontooth! Mari armors up and engages in spectacular battle... but who's going to pay for the damages?

In Ouranos...
Breathable air is everywhere. There's no right side up, or upside down; gravity is relative to local chunks of mass. An abundance of lifeforms reside on countless floating islands & continents. Mari's species, the Anthropi, occupy only a small archipelago in these swirling, endless heavens.
Mari's greatest professional challenge is deciding which of the Hermit Crab's many tools to carry into a job. Success depends on a variety of factors including environment, opponents, and battery usage: The more Mari carries, more her resources deplete. If her suit runs ever ran out of juice... well, let's hope that never happens!
Winning a fight doesn’t always mean punching the hardest, or shooting the biggest laser. Curious bystanders are always nearby in Ouranos, and confrontations are almost never simple contests of attrition. They will require planning, knowledge, skill, resource management, clear thinking, precise execution, and wit. If Mari isn't careful, she may discover there are unforeseen costs to being so overpowered.

Production:
All my self-published comics are homemade! I’ve been making indie comics for over fifteen years, and have a decade of printmaking experience. I've been told my books far exceed American industry standards (they’ve been called European). In the past seven months this year, I've sold almost 1,500 books!
Every title offered in this campaign (including Mari Sue #1-2: Second Edition) will be printed at an oversized 8.25"x10.5", allowing an enormous amount of detail to be packed into every panel. Interiors will be rendered in full color and printed on excellent, durable stock. Covers will be glossy with gold flourishes. Every copy will also be signed.

About the Author:
I'm the proud recipient of the Silver trophy in the 7th Annual International Manga Awards (2014) for my Graphic Novel Paris, and have had comics released in multiple languages by publishers including TOKYOPOP and YEN Press. I'm a fulltime Illustrator & Animator who has worked on a number of indie titles in both video games and comics.
My lifetime goal is to help make the medium of comics as respected and widely read in the United States as they are in Japan and Europe. With Mari Sue, I want to deliver an awesome series to the widest possible audience, one that everyone can enjoy!
